Thanks for your input! I would be happy with mud flaps door panel protection in our New England winter weather.
As communicated in ‘Missing USB-c ports.
Picked up Car on Tuesday 11/16 @ 10:00 am.
Peabody, Ma. They had 4 deliveries that day. Car was parked in area for deliveries & soon to be delivered. Nice touch as you could leisurely take your time inspecting the car out of the weather.
Model Y W/W, LR, 19”, hitch was in great condition from paint to no discernible panel gaps or mis-aligned. Interior was also in wonderful condition with everything working!
Used a pre-delivery list I found on this site.
Very detailed, but not likely to miss much that you could see or interface with.
Spoke for some time with the individual responsible for the final process & delivery of your car. This site & crew are strongly committed to new owners having a positive experience. He did explain that they try to install on each Model Y Mud flap & PPF film,
but occasionally those parts will not be available, but you just need to schedule service right then for install when inventory back in. He also said if my car had not had the wireless charger or USB-c ports, same process for service. I decided to have the Homelink part installed & used the App to schedule that install. Part ordered that day & should be here on Tuesday for the scheduled 12/1 install.
Again, not sure how a 09/23 order became a 11/16 delivery (except for possible cancellations from folks trying to avail themselves of ev tax credits). However, car was built on 11/01/2021 as ‘22 & I was given the vin# on the 2nd. As they say in the casinos…a real crap shoot for all of us.
I want to kindly say to all waiting, it is my hope that Texas coming on line will decrease
the extraordinary wait times! I am still mentally scratching my head on our new realities on pricing increases on so many things, including our choice of ev!
Is Tesla really seeing such dramatic cost increases in the Model Y? Because they don’t have dealers, is the pricing more transparent? Are the price increases fundamentally supply & demand?
In a future time, as is usual, we will probably learn the answers, but harder in these times to know for sure the answers.
