As far as I'm concerned the app was acceptable and fine the way it was. I just think it's wrong how they got people's hopes up for a significant improvement. Welcome to Tesla ownership? As an owner, investor, and fan I'm very disappointed.

From the @K-MTG video, it looks like you have to go back to a menu screen to change functions. Is this true?

#1 in an interface should always be usability, not appearance. Seems like a step back. Just like v8, all focus on visual at the expense of ease-of-use.

App is available in Canada as well.

Looks very nice visually. Odometer and FW version are good additions, and the iOS widget is very helpful for a quick check of car status. Connection to car seems faster.

Hopefully authorization to start car FW update from phone is available in this version, but will need to wait until next FW comes out to verify.

I also wanted a way to change charge amps from phone - don't know if this was added since I'm not near a charger now.

I find this version has a cleaner interface. Touch id and the widget are great additions, as well as the ability to drive away using the phone as my FOB (I can't remember seeing that function in the old version). I always have my phone with me, the FOB not always...

• Get to the screen on your iPhone shown in @Maaz's picture
• Scroll to the bottom until you see Edit. Tap on it.
• Tap on the + sign on the left of Tesla app
• Tap Done.
