worst.floor.mats.ever
I bought Tesla's premium mats. No issues at all.
I fixed this easily--mentioned it to Service and they fixed it when I brought the car in to get the full hood armor. I don't know how they fixed it (velcro? staples? nails? glue? magic?) and don't care--it's fine now. So I recommend (for those near a Service Center) making an appointment, or if you're going in for some other reason, get it fixed then.
But yes, it's silly that something like this needs a "fix."
Cocomats!
Nice and heavy...never have this problem.
The Tesla stock floor mats are complete garbage.
I am at the service center right now getting my steering wheel column click fixed, P85 logo applied, P85 spoiler applied (yey! they do not have any "matte" spoilers, only "glossy" spoilers here! looks MUCH better on a black car than the matte), tires getting rotated (at 6k miles now), and "new floor mats" installed. Apparently they removed the premium floor mats from the Tesla store, (I called ownership to inquire), and they are no longer "made" either. Instead, they told me to contact my local service center for new mats. What they did was make completely new floor mats, close to the quality of the previous premium ones, and shipped them out to all the service centers. They are putting them in all the new cars. They have them in stock, and they are throwing out the floppy erectile dysfunction mats from the old cars and putting the new floor mats in for free. Elon lived up to his word that we all can get these new mats! yey!
