Everyone is a poser. People are rolling around in modified Teslas like they really go to the track lol…..

Everyone is into modifying cars nowadays….. for the “likes”
It's a lot harder to modify newer cars. Back in my younger days, you could do engine mods, drive train mods, exhaust mods, guage change outs, custom stereos, all kinds of stuff you often can't do today. Newer cars are far better (back then, a car was rusted out and falling apart in less than 10 years), but one advantage is that they were a lot more customizable.

no serious truck guy will buy the lightening. weekend warriors will
How many “real truck guys” are there tho? Pretty sure most truck people use it to got to the mall and Starbucks and maybe once every 5 years go to Home Depot and get something that might require 1/3 of the bed. Very few people really do Truck Stuff with trucks. Been that way for several decades

i agree...i see the teslas with wraps and colored tesls t and even lighted t's and such and just laugh because why put more money into such an expensive car that you will never see getting back in the end. All the money used for that silly stuff should just be put aside for a new battery pack in 10-15 yrs when out of warranry or towards new motot units when they crap out

i hear ya. what i like about the cybertruck if i have it right is the whole shell isnt painted but stainless steel and hard to ding and nood to worry about rust or paint chips etc...cars should be like that too-or wrapped from the factory instead of painted.

maverick would be a great PHEV for my 16 y.o next year. Hope it gets the full tax credit .

IF they've got their battery act together. Bought a used Focus EV range 83. Got home range 10 miles away, range was donw 20. Luckily the old owners info was in the dash, called him. He said he had the same issue. Promptly stopped payment and returned it the next day.

With a PHEV at least the gas is a back up

There is no indication the Maverick will come in phev any time soon. Ford can't even get the hybrids off the line.

The Maverick is a cool little pickup truck and likely all most people really need. It's giving me those late 70's / early 80's minitruck vibes bigtime.

I would personally never buy a Ford PHEV again after owning a C-Max. The 2WD hybrid is a pretty great bang for the buck to schlep to the home improvement store, pickup a christmas tree, and fit bulkier warehouse club items in the bed.
Had a friend that had a C-Max. He hated it and it was in the shop at least once a month for something. Is that your experience?
