Everyone in the community should pay for education because highly educated people benefit the entire community. However, if a student chooses to 'go away to college' they should be responsible for their own room and board. Exception: highly gifted students who go to MIT or some other similar school. I believe right now "going away to college' is mainly about tuition fees.
More highly developed countries in Europe make higher education free... Even for the most prestigious universities.

They should also be responsible for any additional tuition fees for being out-of-state students. In almost all cases out-of-state tuition is higher. (Exceptions are made for some specialized courses that have limited availability.)

To me the basic case should be covering costs for 2 years in-state community college plus 2 years state university in-state tuition, which is the cheapest route to a Bachelors.

Private colleges are an extremely expensive way to get an education, and that extra cost shouldn't be subsidized. It's bad enough that those expensive private colleges operate as non-profits with tax exemptions.

In a lot of cases taxpayers already pay for college educations through financial aid, so having free tuition wouldn't add as much cost as you might think at first glance. It would also remove a lot of the burden of handling financial aid. (Fun fact: if you apply for financial aid and have so little income you don't file taxes, you have to provide additional proof that you have low income. It can be easier to file taxes anyway.)

How can people be SO dumb! And then they expect the rest of us to pay their mistakes off!! The only reason these colleges are SO expensive is people are stupid enough to take out these stupid loans! Guess what happens if folks do not go to, and spend these stupid prices? Supply and demand. This is not a government issue, it is stupid people.

Public education should be free.
Private school should be forced to compete.

The Communist's.

Soviets stopped invasion of Moscow, Stalingrad, Leningrad. Then pushed the Nazi's back, took back all the eastern countries under Nazi, finally invaded Berlin itself.

Yes, Soviets did get help, but the manpower on east front and blood was 100% Soviet.

(PS, the second largest economy in world is (drum roll) a Communist government. Not saying they are better, just 2nd largest)
The Soviets also had a deal with Hitler to get the Baltic States if they allowed Hitler to take Poland.

Capitalism started with the slave trade in the 1400s. Portuguese slave traders brought West Africans to Europe to work plantations. After the discovery of the new world, the slave trade and capitalism got a big boost with sugar and cotton plantations which were incredibly profitable due to the low cost of labor.
So literally, the first "capital" was human capital. Slavery has been outlawed but capitalism thrives by keeping the cost of human capital low; persuading people to work for others so they can capture the excess value created by their labor.
This is a constant battle of workers vs bosses. We are merely experiencing the latest skirmish.
Capitalism, like everything else evolves.

So what, going back in history of mankind, this maybe much better?
I'm not exactly sure what you're trying to say with that garbled mess of a sentence but as clearly shown in the video just going back a few decades income inequality was much lower. There is an unsustainable trend happening which you insist on ignoring rather than altering your world view.

Yep, you want socialism. Lots of other countries you can move to and see how it works
