I live in Calif.

Xpel Plus
70% windshield
55% sunroof
30% all the remaining glass

So far, no tickets in the M3
Did get a tint ticket when I was a young driver about 55 years ago. Since then, nothing. I guess they leave old people alone :) (or I hope they do)
 
Wow. I did not know tint was out 55 years ago. I’ve been telling people I remember when tint “came out,” when I had my first car, in high school (around 1978-79).

After market window tint for cars came out about 1965-1966. If I remember correctly, it was 3M that brought it to market. It wasn't very good. It would bubble and turn purple

In 1958 Chevy brought out the first factory tinted windows

Tint for homes came in the 40's
