Still claiming exoskeleton.

That simply is not so.

70k is actually slightly lower than the average transaction price of a new GMC Sierra (which is $71,718 and whose annual sales are RIGHT about where Tesla said their annual CT sales targets were), and only slightly higher than the ATP of an ICE F-150 ($66,787).

Assuming the $7500 rebate applies to CT then a 70k CT would be less than what most truck buyers can afford or want to afford.

Since even if you HAD a case for false advertising at the reveal (which if you go back and look at what was said, and how it was said, you don't) your max damages would be a few years of interest on your $100 deposit. GL with all that.
Funny how you selectively pick the GMC Sierra which is de-facto a Silverado but sells at a premium due to being GMC, nicer interior etc. and sells at low numbers compared to F150 / Silverado / RAM.

A Sierra 1500 Denali trim AWD is around $75k … and in terms of interior quality/fit and finish miles above anything Tesla produces. It’s a lot fairer - and still be generous - to compare a CT price wise to a XLT/ Lariat or SLT ….

Incorrectly spelled, but Elon is going off his own definition of exoskeleton.

It's 1k less payload, not a big deal. There's 0 logic that they would try to present payload differently than everyone else to show a lower number.
Claiming this only applies to the bed makes no sense. Why would you put an artificially low number on promo material as *everyone* else measures total payload ? Shatter resistant glass means laminated glass btw…. It will crack but won’t shatter like tempered glass. Still needs to be replaced though and EVERY windshield out there is “shatter resistant” as laminated windshields are a legal requirement.

That angle by @Knightshade doesn't make logical sense, but then again...misspelling (assuming they aren't being humorous) on a sign they produce doesn't make much sense, either.

It was like when the Lightning first revealed EPA, many on the Lightning forums said it included 1,000 lbs in the bed...which didn't end up being the case.

It’s just hilarious how on the other CT forum the words “shatter resistant” are hyped up to mean “won’t crack / armored glass”. “Shatter resistant” side windows aren’t a novelty for Tesla and windshields have been “shatter resistant” since ~1937 ….

Passenger windows typically aren't. They are typically tempered glass and shatter to a million pieces.

Why does reading a sentence explicitly about the bed of the truck, and with an arrow literally pointing to the bed itself, as if the weight capacity it lists in that sentence is...about the bed... not make logical sense?

That said- the other typo makes me think this is maybe something a dude at that specific store just had made at Kinkos or something so who knows?-- has there been any detail about if it's been seen anywhere but that one place?

Funny how you selectively pick the GMC Sierra which is de-facto a Silverado but sells at a premium due to being GMC, nicer interior etc. and sells at low numbers compared to F150 / Silverado / RAM.

I picked a model that not only is ABOVE 70k ASP, but sells about the same # of trucks annually that Tesla plans to sell of the CT.

I also pointed out with the tax credit a 70k CT is cheaper than the ASP of nearly every truck on the list and even without the credit not much above the ASP of the F-150 (meaning lots of F-150 buyers pay above that, to get to an average north of 66K)

So again your claim 70k is more than most truck buyers would, or could, pay is objectively untrue.

The price you originally cited making that claim was even MORE selective, since you picked a stripped down version of a truck- which as the ASP data I posted shows us is NOT what most people are actually buying.
