Yea the only way I know to get a custom / vanity plate in NY/NJ is to have a vehicle you're willing to put it on 'now'. Since my 2008 Subaru Tribeca just had a regular old plate (and I'm willing to put the new vanity plate on it now) I was good to go.How did you get vanity plates in advance of getting the car?? I called the motor vehicles division yesterday and they said they would not allow that.
Now if I had an ILUVBECAS plate on my car then yea I'd have a problem...
Yea probably MORE than ONE.
