I still have nothing to sign from Tesla or ALD. I have ordered through Business Contract Hire and I am trying to arrange insurance, but I do not know whether there are any stipulations in the contract hire agreement about how the insurance must be taken out, i.e. does my employer (the registered keeper) have to be the policy holder with me as a named driver? Do you (or anyone else) have any idea what the BCH agreement with ALD looks like?
There are no stipulations in the contract. When I took out insurance I told them that it was a leased vehicle and so the insurance policy states that I am neither the owner nor the registered keeper. This is consistent with how others on here have set up their insurance.

Disappointing that you've not heard anything yet. The first thing I heard was when I received a contract from ALD, but mine was all messed up anyway. I presume you're getting the 'waiting for a car to be assigned' line from Tesla?

Thanks. That's good to know. Yup, I am just waiting for the email/text to tell me I'm matched and to standby for delivery. TBH I've had so much conflicting info from Tesla I'm not sure whether just to ignore it all and just sit tight.

Hey guys just looking at the current lease deals out there on the SR. Is there any particularly good time to go looking in the quarter?

I know that sometimes towards the end of a quarter they can offer a couple of things but I was just wondering whether we normally see the costs of leases flexing?

I assume not.

At the moment the best deal I can see on 6+48 for 10k miles is £480.

Sadly the deals with the likes of Vanarama where they are offering a charger and free insurance seem to be a lot more than they were a couple of months back.

Assuming you're not in a hurry to order, save a search on leaseloco for various model/lease profile combos and get alerts when the price changes.
Typically I would have said mid to late in the quarter you get the most fluctuations. Whether this will change since Musk tweeted about stopping the end of quarter pushes I don't know.

Hi, can anyone advise how the delivery option works on a lease car? I have ordered via Lex and just had confirmation it’s booked for delivery on the 11th Feb. So my questions are:
Can I change this to a collection instead?
If it’s delivered, will the driver drive it to me or bring on a trailer?
What happens if it arrives with issues or paint damage?

Any help/j for would be appreciated

Ordered my Model 3 standard through Lease Car/Central Contracts in December. I had a text from Tesla a couple of weeks ago to say theyd had the order from my broker. Then had a call on Friday from central contracts telling me Tesla had contacted them to say they wouldn’t accept the finance company proposed and so would need to find an alternative. So they offered me 2 options, one who are strict on credit checks and one more lenient. I said the first as my credit rating is exemplary, but a little bit frustrating. It’s supposedly due in February but I have doubts.

I got mine from Lex via a broker. Delivery is factored into the lease. It'll get delivered on a trailer to you.

The delivery driver only gave me a short while to check the car for damage - I only had a quick walkaround it but luckily I've not found any damage after he left. Although mine didn't come with front USB ports or the front mudflaps fitted but I just placed a service ticket with Tesla for those.

Had mine through Vanarama, no text or communications from Tesla.

Everything was handled by Vanarama, they offered the option to pick up or to be delivered.

It was delivered via specialist transporter and the app was activated within a few hours. As i don’t own the car I am just a additional driver, but from what i can tell I have access to all the car functions through the app

Same here though Tesla arranged delivery directly with myself Via transporter. App as updated very quickly too - within the hour.

Is Premium connectivity still ending up free for lease customers? I have seen they have reduced it to 30 days free even for those buying long range and performance?
Well I have had my M3LR since 16th December (via vanarama/ALD) and im still getting premium connectivity. Not particulary bothered as my mobile has umlimited data with constant hotspot wifi the car picks up as wifi so not bothered about it anyway.

Sorry am so late responding to this. We're leasing through Knowlesfleet (NHS) and we asked to go to Tesla to pick it up as it would be much quicker and both parties were perfectly happy with this. That obviously made checking for issues (though there were none with the car) a whole lot easier as I imagine the delivery chap will just unload the car and head off. But if you report any issues through the app you'll be pretty much in the same position as if you'd collected it yourself (despite the various inspection lists, there's a limit to what you can check on the day - or, rather, what you feel like inspecting before driving it home!).

What’s the best deal out there at the moment? When I was looking 6 weeks ago it was Vanarama but now I am ready to order I see that’s not that great anymore and it seems to be Lease loco?

Anyone seen anything better? Coming out at about £500 for 47+6 on 12000 miles a year.

Ok so I ordered today! Hooray.

What happens with regards to the Tesla account so I get the Car in the app and pay for Supercharging when it comes?

Does the lease company set it up or do I have to? Will they link the car to it when it arrives I automatically?

I know it’s about three months away but just wondering?

Lease company should provide Tesla with your email address. You will be invited to create an account, where you can enter card details for Supercharging.

Your vehicle will appear in the app shortly after you receive delivery of it (up to 24 hours but normally within a few minutes to 2 hours).

And it is in the small window between getting your car and it appearing in the app where you can snag some free supercharging!

Hi, have you had any more contact from Tesla and ALD? I’m in the same situation. Absolutely no contact from both ALD and Tesla.
