After a billion edits of this reply, I found the answer. The 14-50 adapter was dropped from the mobile connector in May 2019. Ever since, it's just been the 5-15 and the J1772.So from what others have said the full kit used to have the 5-15 as well as the 14-50 adapter?
Absolutely. And for anyone using the 14-50 adapter, make sure you don't try to unplug and replug that thing over and over again. The 14-50 outlets were designed for dryers, so they don't tolerate a lot of mechanical stress. I looked it up once and the limit is around 200 or 300 times if I recall correctly.i know what you mean but think of it this way - you have one at home and one on the go so you dont have to transfer your cable back and forth.
As a reminder, there are three Level 2 charging options.
1. 32 amps using the mobile connector with the 14-50 adapter.
2. 40 amps using the corded connector with a builtin 14-50 plug.
3. 48 amps using the wall connector which is hardwired to the power source.
My car came with a mobile connector. I bought a 14-50 adapter to add to it, and I leave that package in the car. For home use, I use the corded connector. The 40 amps that it supplies is plenty for overnight charging.
