I got a quote for 8500 for my trade in, went the next day to place an order in person with a Owner Specialist. Payed the $100 and was told to finish my account, uploaded photos and mileage. Next day, they emailed me saying your trade in is finalized with a quote of 4500 lol.. My car had no cosmetic damage nor has it been in an accident. The correct mileage was shown in the picture, called in and my OS said someone in the department "fat fingered" the numbers and they can't honor the original quote, got frustrated and cancelled my order. Spent couple of weeks calling and talking to the supervisor, just for them to give me the runaround - "We're waiting for them to reply". Finally got a reply, saying they denied my request for the $100 refund but they'll put in a second request. Ended up selling the car privately (I know, I shouldn't have cancelled my order, I just thought I wasn't going to purchase the car anymore). Placed a new order couple weeks after, get a call from the supervisor the same day asking if it was by mistake. I told them the situation and guess what.. "in that case, we can probably give you store credit if the refund doesn't go through. Two days later, get a call back and the refund was approved. I guess it only mattered since I place another order. Don't count on their trade in value to be accurate, well in my case. It's better off selling the car privately than to deal with their trade in process.
