I’m wondering if one of the more recent software updates is responsible for the drop.
I don't know, but I started charging from 8% tonight, at 26% I got a charging stopped message, along with two red alert messages.
One said unable to charge unplug and try again, the other says car needs service. It did start charging again after unplug/replug... (I was in the car at the time, and nobody touched the cord etc.)

March 2018 LR RWD. 14k mi and 100% = 293. Firmware 2019.20.1

Regularly charge to 80 or 90%. Use about 20-30% range per day.

I’m shocked at the degradation and Tesla hasn’t responded after several inquiries.

I’ve got a May 2018 build LR RWD and was regularly charging to 70% and only using 10-15% each day. My 100% got down to 287 before i scheduled a service appt with Tesla. They ended up telling me I had a calibration issue and there was a firmware bug (firmware prior to 16.2) and I should start charging to 90% to fix it. I did that for a couple weeks but didn’t notice any significant difference (I think it got up to 292)

Recently I’ve been charging to 90% and letting the battery drop down to ~20-30% before charging again. Since then it’s slowly crept back up to 305-310 @100%

I’m at 304 at 100% with my LR RWD 3. I’m at 36k miles.

sucks so have so much degradation from 325 miles.

got my model 3 LR awd pup FSD march 27th and never charged it to 100. ive done 5 charges - 2 at a tesla supercharger and 3 at the tesla urban charger. i rely on super charging. anyway tomorrow imma charge the sucker up to 100 and see what i get. lowest ive had the car is right now- 34%.

alright gents,

TL DR - charged to 299 miles as the epa specs say on the tesla site. 100%.

today i went to an urban charger (74kw max) --usually my go to since its in a COVERED park garage-- and charged from 23% to 100%. it took nearly 2 hours (1:50) to charge. i had 65kw all the way until about 80 or 85 soc, then it tapered off as expected. the last 10 % took probably 30 minutes. :) i have only charged the car 4 times prior to this and all were superchargers, and only to 90%, so the first 100 since taking ownership on march 27 (born on march 20th).

charged to 299 miles, which is what is on the EPA thingy on the cars page on the tesla website. so seems i am getting whats to be expected if I max the charge.

what was cool to me is it seems the BMS was actually doing its thing and making sure all the cells were at the same capacity. i would see the kw hours go to 0 then my added "+kw" number on the right side dropped one number (+60kw tro +59kw) a couple times-- this suggests the bms was "burning off" (my term) charge in cells that were higher than others. the time left meter woudl go to 0 minutes then to 1 minutes for like 7 minutes. :) it finally said 100 % and the charge was done.

one thing i was NOT expecting was how regen braking worked after that. i saw a message that stated regen would be reduced a bit but didn't understand that until i got in traffic-- i was coming to the first stop light and let my foot off the accelerator , only to find out the car was not stopping like ive been used to. "ooh that's what 'reduced regen braking' means" , i said to myself. :p and then i saw dots on the line up there for the first time...

baby steps gents.. im still learning this car after a couple weeks... :)

This is the RWD thread. It is an old thread about the update Tesla did of the EPA constant that bumped up the displayed range in the car. This doesn't apply to your car.
And obviously when you fill it up to 100% you have 0 regen. This is like trying to put more water into a bucket full of water.
