Yep, I was more confused than excited. I emailed my delivery specialist just to check and he confirmed no VIN assigned yet but "may" have one in a day or two...at this point I'm just waiting for their actual update and not trying to read the tea leaves anymore

Does it mean anything when my VIN number is now showing just below the RN number now on the main order page (not just in the MVPA)?

I don't know but it happened to me today. Hopefully that means our delivery is either at the SC or something. Probably means nothing though

Mine changed with the same dates this morning. Nothing else has changed. So if the expected delivery is tomorrow, maybe I will get a call/text soon.

No VIN or documents. Ordered 8/25 and Southern California.

07/28 Order (estimated delivery time 5-9 weeks) LR AWD Red/white interior, 19 inch sport wheels and no FSD
08/20 Text "we are planning to deliver your model 3 soon, but you need to select blue submit button"
08/25 Text for 2-4 weeks
09/05 Logged into my account and found MVPA and a Vin. No text or call from SA.
09/07 Called local Tesla in Vienna, Virginia to see if any status was available. All they could offer was that car has not left the factory.
09/11 SA called and is expecting my model 3 on or around 9/27

Today in my account noticed the following:

Estimated Delivery: September 27 - September 30

We will reach out to you to schedule your delivery date. Delivery time frame will be based on reservation date, order date, delivery location and vehicle configuration.

Heard from Delivery Team. My car, M3P - Red, that is bound for Atlanta, was in Birmingham, AL. They are hopeful it will be in Atlanta in the morning and ready for my 4pm delivery tomorrow. It is so close I can smell the car!

Nice, I'm picking up at the Renton location. I ordered 8/5 but I didn't get a date when it updated the estimated window, I just got the message saying they will reach out to set up delivery. I emailed my SA yesterday ironically before that estimated window updated to this new message. But he is out until Tuesday 9/15.

Last update I got was 1-3 weeks on 9/2. I ordered 7/29. It's approaching 2 weeks and I have no VIN. Does the VIN and delivery all just happen last minute within a few days?? My SA and location for pickup has no updates whatsoever.

Apparently it does. I called a Tesla dealership and the rep stated that when I get my ViN, I should get the car within a few days after. Not sure how accurate that is.

Hmm. Somebody just posted in the West Coast Delivers that their SR+ is ready for pick-up, and the location is in Buena Park.. His order date was 8/20 and the car is white-white with 18s.


Tesla seems all over the place. Some of us sit in the dark throughout this entire process while others get the royal treatment.

You should give a dealership a call tomorrow and see what’s going on.
