Hopefully they can stick to that estimate... From reading other posts it looks like each quarter Tesla starts with deliveries to Europe, then East Coast & Canada, and then West Coast... This allows Tesla to keep their delivery numbers steady each quarter as it takes some time for cars to get delivered to Europe... However, if you don't get your car in the last month of the quarter in SoCal, you end up having to wait for the next round of deliveries at the end of the following quarter (which seems like is my current situation)...

Another thing to keep an eye on appears to be to check the inventory after midnight to see any new cars pop up... so far I've seen a bunch of LRs with white/black interior and 19" rims... so that may be another option for you...

I spoke with a Tesla rep in Vegas today. He said to make sure your profile is complete, as completed profiles will be matched first. He also said I should be matched in the next two weeks but I'm skeptical.

If you are going to search around for inventory cars, keep in mind they might show up in Costa Mesa or Del Rey but the car is actually still in Fremont.. Just a heads up.

Just put in the proper zip code(s). I was working on a script to figure out the minimum number of zip codes to check to cover all of the 200 mile radius areas across the country but something wasn't quite right. If I get it done, I'll post the list here.

Ordered white LR AWD with black interior on 1/22 and received VIN the next day. Haven't heard anything since though. No texts. :/

... just realized in my account settings -> communication preferences, nothing was check marked in preferred contact type. Do you think that matters? lol

I don't think so. I just checked and mine are the same and I've received shipping update texts on what the window was to expect my car

I'm starting to wonder if going through a sales agent at the store has any impact on delivery. Perhaps that's something that should be added to the data gathering process.

none of those above cars are showing for me. I'm at the point where I'd consider an existing inventory car. over 7 weeks with no VIN still.

I don't think it is unusual not to have received a VIN. This is all about getting sales recorded for the quarter. So it makes sense that they are building the international cars first to get them out and delivered. I suspect east coast will be coming soon and those of us on the west coast will be at the tail end of the quarter. I ordered mine on 1/26 and suspect that it will be delivered the last week of March....just my guess.

My SA said "I'm guessing you'll have your car around mid to end of february" but he also told me not to apply for the loan and i've read other people's SAs giving them a similar estimate.

Interesting. Not sure how up to date it is as Vin 634882 (2020 Model 3 | Tesla) isn't listed. But it does seem to show that a large number of the inventory cars are SR+.

Wow! Thanks for this. I also came across a thread that posted a website tesla-info.com that searches everywhere.

And of course, it's out of inventory already. The data has a high rate of change so rapid refresh is likely important if you're trying to catch a certain config.

Yes I was checking every single day for my vin

I found in another thread to search "5YJ" as thats Tesla's vin identifier. I have a result for 5Y but its definitely not a vin. Nothing for 5YJ, but after a quick google, I should be looking for a 5YJ number. Just incase this helps anybody else in the Hourly/Minutely Vin Checkers Club

I got another call from Tesla again but couldn’t answer. Not getting my hopes up as I think it’s another sales call to make sure I know about solar

Called up the delivery center, was curious because I've had a VIN a day after my order (1/22) but no texts. They stated that the car is scheduled to be transported from Fremont to Las Vegas tomorrow, undergo inspection, then delivered via 3rd party carrier. They said worst case scenario we're looking at around 3 weeks.

I told the solar people "let me see the car first, then we can talk" like we are in a hostage negotiation.
