Well, I didn't accept it so hopefully it moved to the next in line... And if it makes everyone feel better, a friend of mine said it could have been a rejected car with issues.
I plan to remove my hold in early January, and then we'll see how quickly the next car gets assigned to me.

Yeah personally I wouldn't even care to get those panel gaps serviced. Unless its egregious or causes issues opening/closing I'm fine with minor cosmetic defects.
This thread is just giving me pain now. VINs left and right while i'm out here with my delivery EDD pushed into next month.
I think 4-6 weeks is a fast time frame. I wouldn’t be too upset not getting it this month. Even though it sucks

Still no VIN here and I ordered two weeks before you, so I feel your angst. Then again, my EDD is still this year (12/24 - 12/31), but we'll see. I suspect they're pushing to deliver as many units as possible before year's end, regardless of what Elon told the company a few weeks back.
Very different than my experience a year ago when I got my Model Y within a week of ordering. Maybe the waiting will make it all the sweeter when it finally arrives
My service center reached out today and told me my car will be in at 5pm on the 22nd and asked if I may be able to pick up on the 23rd or 24th. I gave them a resounding yes!

My order was just switched to a home delivery! Same day the car is already passing Castaic right now. I really do want to pick it up tomorrow though.
How do you know it is passing Castaic? Wed will come quicker than you think. You are in for an experience if you have never owned a Tesla before. Best machine on the road IMO by a wide margin after owning a 2018 M3 AWD for three years (Sold it to buy the performance)
Picked mine up today. No issues. App accepted my ACH payment no problem (I was worried there was a transfer amount limit on there, but it worked fine).
I could have been in and out in 10 minutes if I wanted to, but I really looked things over and there was only one scuff on the whole car. I'll buff it out myself. Rest of the car is perfect.

Somehow the representative from the call center knew where in transit the truck was located and he let me know when I briefly asked during my call to ask about loan information, the car is definitely already at the delivery center now for me but I’m just going to wait till Wednesday for them to bring it!
