It's still "unknown." So asserting that it's pictures or more than pictures is purely guessing.

The link you posted from Mashable was a fourth hand copy from someone who read about another article that mentioned the Model 3 only being pictures.
Not one of them referenced the actual video where you can hear what was said in context.
If the question from the reporter was "When will we see video of the Model 3" would be all be asking if the reveal was only going to be video?
Of course not because the two parts go together - the question and the connected answer.
All this came up because some reporter heard the answer in isolation, filled in the blanks and got 2+2 = -44

Another reason why I can't wait until March 31st: so that we can be done with all this nonsense.

What is a reveal reservation?

I was thinking a "reveal reservation" is what major car companies are having about the upcoming event. No doubt they have lots of reservations about the reveal.

Possible reasons that Elon's going to hold back on some of the 3's features:

1) Dependent on Gigafactory ramp up.
2) Doesn't want to flag up R&D intentions to the Chinese.
3) They want to maintain healthy cashflow / sales of the S and the X.

This was my thoughts on this also.

Of course not, not with the new Radio Flyers available. And folks shouldn't be worried he will get up with just a notebook of pictures... it will be a FLIPBOOK (perceived motion FTW.)

He simply must troll everyone and say stuff like "I am glad you all came to the picture reveal..." or "I am excited to be showing off the first pictures of the Model 3 tonight..."

Everyone knows that car safety is very important to Elon. So I'm expecting something like this. Although I'm thinking it would've been more appropriate for the Model S reveal.
