Model 3 Software Updates

Got a notification that I had a software update this morning kicked it off just before I headed to work. Ended up moving me from 2018.32.7 to 2018.42.3.

That's reassuring to hear, I'm still on 32.7 as well - I thought I was the only one left. Hopefully I'll get mine soon.

Just updated from 42.2 to 44.4. Took about 15 minutes. Had 42.2 for only two days and wasn't too impressed with NoA.
Won't have a chance to drive until tomorrow.

are you sure you're on 44.4 and not 42.4?

I have been on 39.7 for almost a month. Still no 42.2 or 42.4 yet. Wondering if this has anything to do with the fact that I don't have EAP. So, Tesla feels I don't need the latest update.

Out of all the factors that one is not a deciding factor. I'm on 42.2 and have no EAP.

May I ask when did you get the 39.7 update? I got it on October 6. Have been on 39.7 ever since.

I believe I did everything on my end to ensure a timely update.

Ever since update to 42.2, been having trouble with iPhone and door opening with app at times. Seems to take a long time getting out of sleep. Wish they would fish the issue with USB Favorites not getting wiped or just implement a playlist and be done with it.

I got my car on Oct. 19th and it pulled 39.7 two days later over WiFi then in a week and half or so it pulled 42.2

Ive noticed as long as I have the Tesla app running in the background my phone as key still works 100% of the time.

I've noticed updates coming faster since I put a range extender in my garage for my wifi. My car instantly connects to wifi when I get home and updates have come faster since.

I think you’re onto something here. I got a notification for what I assume is 42.3 tonight. That makes the third straight update notification on a Monday.

My car is in service for little trim items, and it has gotten two updates. One to 42.3 (from 42.2), and then another one to 42.4 ccb9715. Not sure what’s new as I can’t see it. Anyone else on 42.4?

Yes I’m on 42.4, no issues. Not sure what the changes are either. The update notes said NoA enhancements and key fob, but I don’t use either.

Wifi + Charging?
I only got the update when I was charging and on wifi. I was monitoring the car on the network and played with a few things. When I stopped charging, it stopped downloading.

No radio, no slacker, no streaming through phone, no autopilot chimes, no parking sensor chimes, no turn signal sound, no voice control. Basically everything associated with audio were gone. It happened twice already. Steering wheel 2 button reset did nothing. Getting out and getting back into the car did the trick.

Weird. Did you ever have the random static sound in the front speakers? I thought it was specific songs but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

Yes the random static is still there since day one regardless of software version but it has become much less often now. Pause the song and play again will get rid of the static.

How do you guys know when you are getting the updates? Where do you get those lists?
