Especially since my delivery was delayed slightly because I didn't set up financing earlier.

Sounds like an investigation perhaps for another thread. Me and snowpuff are in the US and we didn't get the email.
I got an email but it was not an automated response like that. It was simply a 1 line written by a Delivery guy. haha... weird??
I did get a post card in the REGULAR MAIL that looks exactly like that??
Yay my car is "preparing for pickup or delivery" and is on its way down to the service center near me! Looks like the Saturday pickup is right on schedule. After Saturday, I don't know what I'll do with myself with extra time I'll have not checking My Tesla page. The nice people at the service center even offered to pick me up because I didn't want to bring the husband and baby along and have them drive back in a separate car.

I received the same email for my VIN (I'm in the US), so I can confirm it exists.

As an update: I had confirmed an S85 earlier (after two test drives), but S85 vs P85 posts here (and the super-helpful qwk!) convinced me to take a third test drive. I drove the P85 and S85 back to back today, and decided on the P85. Tesla staff in Burlingame was patient and helpful throughout the process, and helped me change the order post-confirmation. Still looking at a mid to late June delivery, but we'll see what my DS has to say after the order is updated. No VIN yet.

Nice Schrike! I believe that Golfski and I are hoping that with us all being Seattleites they will just throw ours into production way ahead of time and send them all up together! Wishful thinking? Sure! But hey, it could happen.
Do people get an email when the car enters production, or do you have to just visit My Tesla regularly?

Mine update always happend around 6PM GMT+1, so checking only once per 24h is enough. But even after three updates around that same time, I still checked hourly. :tongue:

Nope, this one you have to check the website for. For me it happened sometime between 8:30am PDT and 3:30pm PDT (the two times I checked).
