Was chatting with a Tesla employee recently and I asked about how busy they were with deliveries. The employee commented that they were no longer doing the end of quarter rush. They also mentioned that Washington State may also end up selling more cars than California due to the expiration of the sales tax exemption at the end of June. I'm not clear on if the lack of end of quarter rush was because of the sales tax situation or if Tesla is just trying to spread orders out across the entire quarter, but I sure hope it's the later.

DS called today, updated with estimated prod and delivery dates.

After refreshing what seemed like every 10 minutes today (the estimated start of prod) mine finally went into production! I don't know if this will make me refresh more or less now... :redface:

From spreadsheet it looks like they haven't started making 70Ds. My DS told me she expects ours to go into production by the second week of May.

Does anyone know of any complete VIN numbers for a 70D? I'm trying to get insurance quotes and they are all asking for a VIN. I've found partial VIN numbers as well as how to decipher the Tesla VIN but haven't found any complete VIN numbers so far.

If someone could post or I'M one, it would be greatly appreciated.

Mine was 6 1/2 weeks from order to delivery and I'm in Arizona. I would think 6-7 weeks would be pretty standard.

Good idea. I visited one a couple weeks ago but they didn't have any 70D models. I was able to find a VIN in another thread and I've already sent it to my insurance agent for a quote.
