Model S is defined as “luxury sedan” everywhere, including Tesla’s own 10K.Tesla was never marketed as a luxury car. It was marketed as a premium sedan. I haven't looked up the exact definition, but I think "premium" means higher price.
You used to be able to roll down all windows all the way with the key fob. (But not back up.) I am among those disappointed in the removal of features from the UI over the years. Especially the full color map, green traffic indications and static +/- map buttons. Also miss the static climate off button, static app buttons, day and date... All features I was accustomed to that have been removed.
I don't imagine any good reason all Tesla cars can't close windows from remote. It's not not like they can cut off limbs or digits.
I don't know what a 10K is except a foot race.Model S is defined as “luxury sedan” everywhere, including Tesla’s own 10K.
10K is the annual SEC filing for public US companies. It is an official document that describes the business, financials, projections, etc.I don't know what a 10K is except a foot race.
I was probably wrong when I said "never." Even back in 2013 people on the forum and elsewhere used the term luxury, but Tesla described themselves as a manufacturer of premium electric sedans. No parking sensors, no lighted vanity mirrors, etc.
Luxury seems to imply two characteristics. First, high quality of materials -- nice leather upholstery, soft touch surfaces everywhere, nicely finished switches that feel nice to the touch, and so on. To some extent, luxury is often mentioned by the absence of such touches. E.g., a recent review of the Mercedes-Benz EQE complained about the quality of switchgear compared to previous Benz models.I don't know what a 10K is except a foot race.

You're right! Now you can Close again... I wonder if it's just on 2021+ for some reason. My 2021 MSP Vents (approx 3") All windows via the App., Then the Close option for all windows works fine, No warnings or the such in my Premium Sedan. My Luxury Porsche would get the nice leather and wood wet, so it does not have the Vent option.
Yes, there was a hardware change at some point that enabled it. Older cars are still open only. You're right! Now you can Close again... I wonder if it's just on 2021+ for some reason.
something about not being able to roll the windows up while supercharging is stupid to me. sorry for bitching and moaningIt’s strange how we’ve become conditioned to bitch and moan about features that weren’t present on the car whatsoever when delivered because the complimentary addition doesn’t live up to personal expectations.
Which app let's the older Model S close the window remotely?Well what is funny about this is even though Tesla only lets you roll down the windows there is a third party app in App Store that will let you close the windows via the API. Also the newer model S the refresh can open and close windows I think Raven can’t,
My 2017 model x has rear seat sensors on the 2nd row and 3rd rowOlder cars don’t have rear seat sensors
Rear seat sensors were added right around the beginning of 2017 when the 100 kWh cars came out. My December 2016 Model S 90D didn't have them but the S 100D that we got less than 3 months later did.My 2017 model x has rear seat sensors on the 2nd row and 3rd row
Does your windows close after venting ? On my model x it dont but on the model 3 they doRear seat sensors were added right around the beginning of 2017 when the 100 kWh cars came out. My December 2016 Model S 90D didn't have them but the S 100D that we got less than 3 months later did.
Not on the 2017 S 100D. I was under the impression that it was sensors for the window that were missing, not the rear seat sensors.Does your windows close after venting ? On my model x it dont but on the model 3 they do
Iv started my trial for 14 days and it says option of closing windows but i havent twsted it yet coz my bloody model X is with Tesla Service. Ill feedback once i have more info on thisLooks like Tessie for $4.99 a month or $50/yr or $199.99 lifetime does this. I am starting a free 14 day trial now.
Damn it!!! - mine is a 2017 i doubt that will support it too then. Its funny it will vent down but not close the windows. Not for my 2015 S.
"Warning, this will close all windows if your vehicle supports it." If was the key word there.
