The main differences between that story and that of the other 500+ waiting for delivery such as myself are...
1) they were repeatedly over optimistic in getting it ready for you. This is obviously really bad.
2) they actually told you what was going on in detail
For most of the rest of us it seems the cars finished production a week or two ago and are still being finished... Meaning they are probably going through a few repairs similar to yours, we just don't know the details of what they are. I know many of these issues have to do with Tesla delivering a very complex vehicle and this being the first set and all.
However, i would like the forums input on when we think these issues will begin to go away. Whereby the build quality off the line is improved to a point where Tesla is not completing significant work at the service centers?
After 1k cars built? 5k?
Wonder how long it takes them to insert redesigned parts and production processes to fix quality issues

At this very moment, in the Milford, CT Service Center there are eleven Signature Model X's which have arrived today in enclosed carrier. These are being stored inside the SC and will be delivered or trans shipped to Mt. Kisco, NY or directly to the owner's home (as I was told). Most common color in this batch is the Signature Red, followed by the pearl Multi-Coat White or the Metallic Black. Interesting that most seem to have the tan interior.
