@HookBill However, other than that email I received on 10/12 stating that my vehicle had gone into production, I've had to email and call my local Tesla store/service center to stay updated. My DS has only reached out to me ONCE! It's unreal how engrossed in this Model X I've become but my patience is wearing very thin as I sit here in the dark. If it weren't for all of you on here, I would definitely feel as if I were being strung along. Either way, even if some of it was bs, I'd prefer a weekly call or email with a status report on my vehicle. What in the world is going on over there in Fremont??@electricdreams at least you made it initially into production. I remain in production queue in hopes of a Festivus Miracle.
I'm at 179xx and had pushed my delivery to December 1st but so far I haven't even gotten an email yet. Car still says in production queue. My DS only responds to me when I get a hold of her at the SC. She doesn't even respond to any of my email. I was the same I figured I'd wait closer to the date I schedule my delivery but yet till now she does not even have a date of when it'll be delivered or even will go into production. All she mentioned was to apply for the loan approval December 1st and she's 90% sure we will get my vehicle by the end of the year! Like many of you I do not undersrand what the heck is going on in Fremont....but I'm slowly loosing my patience....@electricdreams I share your frustration. I made it a point at the beginning that I would not become a pest for my DS. My delivery center is Costa Mesa and someone mentioned awhile back that it was second only to Fremont in the number of new cars coming in and out. I figured he would be pretty busy and I had other things I could be doing in the meantime (get my charger installed, find a good insurance company, find a good PPF installer and arrange for an appointment, etc.) The only thing right now that bugs me is seeing others, who put in their orders weeks after I did for similar configs, get their production process going and, for some, have their cars delivered. I am sitting at 24xxx and still in queue. I've heard nothing from my DS except when I call or email him to have other questions answered. That is when I sneak in the question on timing. Communication could be better but it just feels like there are other things going on that are causing this delay. On the other hand, I am just thankful I did not order a 5-seater way back when. Just think about how long they had to wait.
totally understandable and it's hard not to sound like a douche when all we want is a clear answer not a maybe.... I thought their title is Delivery Specialist for a reason. You can't go back to them and say well you might get the final payment of the Tesla and maybe not....geez....@HookBill @pchengMX I'm doing everything I can not to be a pest too. I've actually been commended for my patience but it's not getting me any solid status info as some sort of reward. After making my 3rd call to Fremont, I decided it would be best not to call them anymore. The last guy I spoke to literally blew me off by telling me to take up all of my questions with my DS. He even refused to connect me to his superior. I was going to see if they'd let me fly out to the bay area to pickup the car but forget it now. That phone call really left a bad taste in my mouth and as much as I want my MX, I would not be dealing with this if I had a crystal ball. I really hope things won't be this way when or if I have issues with my car...that's IF I even get the thing!
Someone should tweet at Elon:
What's up with Model X? Cars in production for 3+ weeks, and cars ordered in Nov delivered before those from September.
@Bobby7 Glad to hear of your success. As I posted in #1, my order was confirmed on 10/05 with VIN 243xx, went into queue the same day and is still sitting in queue. It has the same basic config as yours. And I am not alone. There are many still patiently waiting with no concrete news as to when theirs will be produced, much less shipped and delivered. I am hoping I don't wake up on Christmas morning and find a lump of coal in my stocking. Of course, there are some who would be perfectly happy putting more coal there.
Mine was originally slated for late Oct to early Nov and mine is stuck in production. Going by that your chances aren't good. What you have going for you though is a 4th quarter push so that might do it for you.Guys,
I confirmed my Model X 90 D on 11/28. Dashboard says in the production queue. What is the realistic wait time in the US? Confirmation email says Late December to early January. [90D, 7 seater with all features]
If that is the case they seem to be mostly putting the parts on the line as they get them to finish cars they are building now. A lot of us are sitting waiting while some go into production and complete in a day or 2. Hope they get extra parts soon! Going to get blisters on my thumbs from checking My Tesla page every 5 minutes!! Ha ha!!Tesla is struggling with AP2 installation and part sourcing. Looks like AP2 is far more time consuming to install than anticipated. And parts are a problem to source.
