Wiki Model X Order/Delivery Tracking - Google Sheet

I ordered X100 mid-March. Order page listed delivery in early June. Was later told by delivery specialist via email that my delivery was anticipated end of May/early June. Yeah!
Around May 7, I get email telling me to get financing in order. Yeah!
Unfroze my credit at all three agencies and got qualification via Tesla financing. Yeah!
Now the boos.
My car is still showing 'scheduled for production' and now I have to unfreeze again and re-secure my financing for another 30 days. \
Ugh.
Turning out to be a bit frustrating....

Just got a call from my DS and he said Tesla just uploaded dates today. Mine says July 20th! Vin is 5/8. He said he’s positive it’s earlier than that but damn what a blow from what I was told.

Wow that sucks. I hope not. I just placed my order and it was confirmed on 6/4 and it still said my estimated date was sometime in July. If yours is the case, mine would be more like September.

Don't take the dates they give you seriously. It can be early or late. I am not very impressed with how they forecast their production or delivery. Mine was sitting at the dock one day and literally the next day, they called me and told me it is now ready for delivery. I asked them how that happened and DS did not have an answer.

DS said the same thing he basically was like "I'm 99% sure it will be well before that date". I'll be honest If an inventory X ever comes around I may get it. June to the end of July is a pretty big gap. Considering all the crap they say you should get in motion. I gave them the trade already, pretty pissed.

Did you trade in to tesla, or did you just sell it private party? I would have thought you'd have traded in your vehicle when it was going to picked up. Though I know in Texas it's going to be weird because you have to pay in full before it even can enter the state.
Maybe it will be earlier than the projected date for you?

To retain value I traded in to Tesla. I had a rare vehicle worth about MSRP. Now I rolling a ton of miles on my other vehicle because of the delay. Just sucks. Doesn't look like there is any inventory options either.

I ordered 5/26 (at which point it said July delivery stil), confirmed 5/29, havent had any action (no VIN still) since, but checked with my DS because my current lease ends in July, and she said conservatively it is likely early-mid August, but wont be confirmed for a couple weeks. I kind of expected it, but seems odd they would be so aggressive in the delivery estimate when ordering, just sets people up for disappointment.

Just heard from my Delivery Advisor. Now my car won't be going into production until next week, with an end of June delivery...so almost exactly a 30 day delay from what the website, and my DA told me initially at my time of order.
I also get to pay to unfreeze my credit again to get a new lock on the loan. Swell.

Unhappy.

Oh well - two weekends have passed since my car was ready. Tesla cannot seem to sort out things.

They were unable to get the lease paperwork and insurance finalized for some reason in 3 months.
Then I was promised it would get done, pictures of the car, verification it was ready to pick up.

Now...no update - no pictures - no car.

It looks like they finally have everything sorted out for me to pick up the car tomorrow.

Tesla must be delaying their production as to not hit the 200k limit for vehicles this quarter. This looks ridiculous.
They are... I had to go all the way up to the managers to get a response about mine if it was delayed or not the DS never replied to my emails or returned my calls and same with the salesman that placed the order in the first place. They told me mine was pushed back to Mid-end of July about 2 weeks ago. I cancelled my order and bought a Panamera 4 I really wanted to give Tesla a shot but if this is how they treat people I don't want to be part of it.

anyone have luck cancelling their orders and getting the deposit refunded if the promised time is pushed back. i was repeatedly told june. confirmed: 5/24 vin: 6/4
I'm fighting the same, they told me repeatedly June then once I got my VIN no one answered my emails or calls until I started going up the chain it was extremely frustrating. Found out here first that mine would more than likely get pushed back to July so I went straight to the dealer and talked to the managers and they called me back the next day telling me it was indeed delayed and were upset at me for wanting to cancel it.

really not sure why this company has what seems to be a policy of promising things they can't deliver on. my salesperson scoffed at me when i placed an order in early may and questioned whether they would actually be able to delivery in june as promised. 'you will get your car in june 100%' he retorts back at me. of course i barely even got a VIN a few days ago and based on what you guys are seeing no way they will build and deliver a car this month. why can't they just be realistic and upfront with people, instead of hiding behind 'estimates' that they cannot back or stand behind? and re: The poster above, if they can't stand behind their promises and a customer wants to cancel, they get upset at you? wth.

of course my DS won't respond to my emails either. i want to get behind this company, their products are innovative, but they just really treat their customers terribly.

Welp I told them today if there isn’t an inventory available somewhere I will be canceling the order. They seemed to light a fire not sure what they will come up with. I won’t give it long.
