Model X September Deliveries

Well it looks like I have to move over from the August thread. Got notice on Wedneday that the delivery truck transporting my vehicle broke down and I wouldn't be able to take delivery as scheduled today. :(

However, to make up for such late notice (48hrs before) they are going to send a driver to pick us up and take us to the service center for the X pickup next Saturday so that we don't have to drive 2 cars back (we live about 2 hours away), they are going to discount my 8 year service agreement to $3,600 instead of $4,000, and they will also throw in a free cable wall organizer. :D Now that is what I call excellent customer service. Way to go Tesla! Can't wait!

Got an email directly from Tesla that my Model X has finished production. It will take 3weeks to transit to Orlando location and another week to be delivered to me. So, I'm looking at September last week delivery. I at least know the timeline now so that I can plan insurance and loan stuff.

3 weeks just to deliver? Seems long or no. I was hoping for early October delivery and mine won't be starting build till 9/12. Long shot huh?

I was told by DS at Orlando store that it will take 3 weeks to get to Orlando from San Francisco. They send the vehicle to Alabama via train from where it gets shipped to Orlando by truck.

I'm curious because I was given a October 15 estimate for a 8/24 confirm.. And I get married October 15. So hoping I get lucky and speed it up a little bt. Would even be interested in a "rush fee" for transport portion if there was such a thing.

Let the Ds know u want it before marriage. They asked me for a special day and they said they will try their best

I just spoke with someone at Fremont. I pressed "2" for Model X and told them I needed more information about my order. He suggested I contact my owner advisor whose number I already have. My OA is going to check and get back to me today.

If you have a nearby local store (standalone), you could go in there and casually ask for an update. I don't think you should be in the dark.

Yes! The casual drop-in at the store works. I have sent two emails to my delivery specialist over the past month with no response to date. I found myself near the Decatur (Atlanta) store today and stopped in to ask about the status of my order. Got good info from the gal behind the desk, and a phone call from the MIA delivery specialist a couple of hours later. Turns out my car is on track for delivery by late September.
