My DS is very helpful and easy to get in touch with. My OA is a different story.

I don't know why your DS isn't as forthcoming with information but I guess everyone is different.

So far my DS has been very good.

I placed my car same day to yours. DS told me middle of production yesterday. I guess some days around next week will be my big day.

I placed the order at July 15th, still no word from the DS about my X and we have the same DS. Hope hear from the DS soon.

Got email at midnight saying MX was complete but the update did not translate into mytesla page yet (or maybe it is a mistake). VIN 170xx, 75D, confirmed 8/6. Time to ask DS!

I have the same date confirmed and same vin as yours .. I guess my OA is right then

Asked my DS this morning regarding to my X, got the answer that my X is in the middle of production. Vin: 15XXX, 75D. Finger crossed for my X to complete the production soon. Also DS mentioned that the production line has slowed down a bit recently.

Maybe they slowed down to add in our new AP 2.0 hardware.....

How long after getting a VIN does the car typically enter production? I got my VIN 2 days ago. Confirmed order in the first week of April. Originally I had 75D, 7 seats, coil,ap,non-pup. Changed to 6 seats, air suspension 3 days ago.
Edit - DS says delivery late September/early October

My car entered production a little over two weeks after I received my VIN.

I received our CA temporary registration/out of state sales paperwork to sign via FedEx today (in Texas). 60D, 6 seat. Confirmed/assigned 8/2, VIN 167XX.

I guess it is correct that Tesla is producing cars to show a good delivery record for Q3 since they have put my car (Vin 16166) on hold and are producing ars with later VINs that can be delivered in the US before the end of Q3. My car, bond for Norway, will not be able to reach me before October/November, so I guess they are postponing it. Maybe that will mean that I get AP 2.0 hardware?

I tried to contact my DS today. Was able to talk to a different person who checked on the status of my Model X production. It has been in production since August 8th. I'm not sure why it is taking such a long time to produce Model X suddenly when they were able to build them in 7-10 days time in the recent past. Anyways, I'm hoping it will be done soon and gets shipped out. It takes 3 weeks apparently to ship to Orlando location.
