In order to get the Dashcam set up, can one format the drive in the car? I see a button for format drive, but it's disabled. I assume one has to actually format the drive on a computer in FAT32?

Speaking of which... are there any front USB ports that not NOT USB C? I was going to take my USB flash drive from my Model 3 and just transfer it to my Model Y... but maybe I need to change it if Model Y only has USB C?
I was under the impression all you have to do is use the 2nd USB drive on the right, make sure nothing is connected to the first drive on the left when formatting. Insert the USB drive, go to security on cars menu and the FORMAT button will be enabled. Push and it gives you a warning about deleting all current files on the drive and that's it. It formats everything for you as mine is working.
No need to use your computer. I just took a USB drive right out of the blister pack, plugged it into the USB-A port and selected format from the screen menu - done in 10 seconds.
I took my 128GB flash card out of it's blister pack, put it in the USB adapter and simply plugged it in to the USB-A socket in the console. Went to Security, and formatted it.. easy pesy.. no PC involved.
