Model Y Performance Totaled Experience

Just wanted to give some insight into my experience of a 2021 Tesla Model Y Performance that I totaled Feb 2022 as we hit a ice patch and slid into a semi here in California.

We have State Farm, purchased the car in March 2021 with FSD for $70k ($60k + $10k FSD). The car has 17k miles, and offered $69k.

Not bad! We have a SR 3 as a backup until we figure out a replacement.

Yep thankfully no serious injuries! Almost completely healed a week later.

There is ZERO (and I mean zero, zip, nada) circumstances in which "FSD transfers to your new purchase" currently. If you want to discuss that somewhere, it should be discussed in one of the threads on that topic, like these:

On the earnings call last week, Tesla was asked about FSD transfer. They said they really effectively do that, because when you trade in your car to them they increase the trade-in allowance because you have FSD, so you can just purchase it with your new car using the extra trade in money...
