Can't say! Would have to kill you! Or die in the rush myself.
Note to All: Please don't reveal to @frasax existence of the interweb thingy!🤓

Only joking; When I have had three quotes and accepted one, I will reveal all.😁
Looool

Fair enough -- honestly like word of mouth is much better than the interwebs. Look fwd to hearing from you after you've gotten everything done

To all MY Waiting Room members in the London area and in the Home Counties: There are not so many detailing firms out there which could mean a booking frenzy in late June.

Perhaps we will need a new thread then : Model Y Detailing and PPF Waiting Room.
I’m in the HC area in Oxfordshire, there’s a detailing / ceramic coating specialist up the road from me, I’ll make some enquiries and let others know if anyone else is local?

I shall likely get some PPF and coating done at Auto Wax Works at the Bicester Heritage Centre, or DetailR in MK depending on pricing and availability. Previous recommendations on those two options but grateful for any others 😂

I did my own 😎

I took my Model-S (and previous one) to Topaz Detailing for PPF - I selected them on the basis that they were the closest I could find to West Drayton where both cars were collected from ...

... next cheapest car in there was 10x the price of mine o_O

Excellent job, both times.

Thank you.

Yes, I checked them out. A pity there are no more Heathrow collections.

Back in your first S days, they were few and far between and therefore comparatively few cars for collection. But Tesla outgrew the Heathrow site.

I remember chatting to four model S owners at Beaune, late 2014 or 2015. They had the proud (but not prideful) demeanour
of owning very special cars - you must remember the feeling- that first S sighting ("where were you when you saw your first Tesla Dad?) made quite an impression on me.

Hi all, new to the forum but been reading for a few weeks now! Thought I would share my update. Ordered the MY Performance in Black / Black last Sunday 24th April. Not received any text but immediately received my RN number along with email acknowledgment. Delivery date was stating August all week until this weekend where it now only says “We will reach out to you to schedule your delivery date. Delivery time frame is based on order date, profile submission, delivery location and vehicle configuration.” I hope this doesn’t mean it’s going to be later than August! Excitement starting to build up now :)

Yeah I thought that would be the case too…

I would say I was going back and forth on choosing Red or Black but last Saturday I noticed dates vastly improved. Red was early 23 then changed to late 22, while Black was late 22 and then changed to Aug 22 which made me bite the bullet on getting the Black as it’s only a few months away.

Given the bewildering (to me, at least) number of options around what to PPF and what not to PPF, do you have any recommendations ? Budget is not infinite 😂
You see, I was not accustomed to stone chip damage. But then I learned that our soon to be much loved Teslas are not only beautiful and clever but also vulnerable and that I should familiarise myself with the burgeoning industry dedicated to protecting their delicate complexions.

Once up to speed, I was going to go for new car decontamination and polish (swirls I do know). Then I though that for ease of future touch free washing (by moi ), a ceramic coating would help. O.K. then, giving the piggy bank another shake and following nightmare tales of the above mentioned stone chips, I thought maybe a bra! Then I thought I had better use different terminology! (This :oops:on the advice of the local bobby P.C. Woke).

So, front end; bumper and a bit of the front trunk lid. Ah! No! I have just read a sad tale of chips on the lid just above where the PPF ends. Right! New car detailing plus the complete front end (not the doors)..........I will collect three quotes and, as the day draws near make a decision.

SWMBO, who believe she knows me better than I do, opines that I will end up going for 100% PPF and that therefore why not just wrap it in PINK and get my order in for a second Y ........ a blue one!

Now, how does this wall point sharing work.......ah yes; first get a bigger front garden! Then put the piggy bank out to stud ...or maybe in reverse order.

Evenin' all.
