Maybe October but more likely ~November is when they’ll switch over, historically speaking. If this is important to you for whatever reason then you need to wait until confirmed VINs start showing up before you place your order.I want to be assured of getting a model year 2024 (10th VIN position = R) Model Y. When will such a car be available for ordering and when could it be delivered (Carlsbad, CA)?
Not necessarily. I live in So Cal and my MY LR white color came from Austin. What it seemed to be back in March 2023 was that if you ordered a MY LR base (white color at the time) free color then the MY LR was coming from Austin. However if you opted to customize the color (Gray, Blue, Red, Black) then the MY LR was coming from Fremont.Maybe October but more likely ~November is when they’ll switch over, historically speaking. California Ys generally come from Fremont unless you want the base model AWD which is only produced in Austin.
All North American Model Ys currently produced come with HW4.Total newbie here, I've never bought or owned a Tesla before. Like the original question in this thread, I'd like to buy a 2024 model Y, but I'd like to have Hardware Level 4 (HW4), which I understand is starting to appear on some 2024s. What's the process to order this vehicle? I'm in Massachusetts.
Many thanks!
HW4 on the MY is only meaningful in conjunction with FSD.....maybeTotal newbie here, I've never bought or owned a Tesla before.
