The Plaid costs almost 2X the Mustang Mach E. I wouldn’t compare the two.

I don’t care about 1/4 mile runs, but I would like a vehicle with a decent ride and utility. I’m glad that the Mustang exists, some of the colors are cool. I’d consider a Mach E if Ford offered fart sounds, but since they don’t I’m Team Tesla.
