Navigate on autopilot question

What determines when navigate on autopilot works? Sometimes when I turn on navigate on autopilot it works and other times I only get autopilot. Sometimes it will also will end navigate on autopilot for no apparent reason. Thanks

Generally the type of road you're on. It's only intended for use on limited access divided highways like interstates and such.

It can also turn off if the sensors are obscured to a degree (really bad weather, dirty camera, etc)

You route must include a divided limited access highway like an Interstate and you must be on it for Navigate to work. Once you leave it Navigate will disengage and return to AP.

Easiest way is to look up the roads you're interested in on OpenStreetMap. If it's categorized as motorway or freeway, NoA will work, otherwise not.
