New AP bug

I haven't seen this reported previously. Today on freeway when I changed lanes car showed first normal "hold steering wheel" message. After car iniated lane change I got alarm sound and message "car is departing lane, hold wheel immediately".

I tried several times and warning came on every time. I disconnected AP and put it back on and after that car worked normally.

I've had this happen a couple times, every time it doesn't seem to actually lose control, likely making it a simple bug.

Yes, it doesn't lose control, it is a false alarm.

It is funny, that car itself is changing lanes and then it gives warning, that you're departing from your lane.

It reminds me of the joke about the breed of dog that's half pit bull and half collie: It will attack you and then run for help.

I had a similar warning when i turned off the blinker before completing the lane change.

What is this bug report feature? How is it accessed/used?

I have not seen this. I have stopped the turn signal too early and the car returns to the original lane and have left it on and it has completed the lane change flawlessly.

I've had this too on one occasion - turning AP off then back in cures it

For those who may not have the manual handy the section in question reads:

You can use voice commands to call a contact,
navigate, or listen to Internet music. Press and
hold the voice button on the upper right side
of the steering wheel. When you hear the
tone, speak your command while continuing
to hold down the voice button. Release the
button when you finish speaking.

Note: You can also use voice commands to
provide feedback to Tesla. Say "Note",
"Report", "Bug note", or "Bug report" followed
by your brief comments. Model S takes a
snapshot of its systems, including screen
captures of the touchscreen and instrument
panel. Tesla periodically reviews these notes
and uses them to continue improving Model S.

I've never seen this and done lots of auto lane changes in the U.S. Perhaps specific to European software versions?

Nope! NJ 85D and I've had it happen 3 or 4 times.

Does it have something to do with when you are turning Off the turn signal?

Or, perhaps the perceived lane markings in the new lane are just not good enough?

I don't think so. I've done lane changes in the same area multiple times, and it stays completely in control but glitches and puts up the warning.

Washington (Portland to Seattle) area here. Happened the first night we AP. Once it started it didn't stop it until car was irked and used later. Red alarm every land change, even though it successfully completed the lane change.

tge roads were wet, so I figured it was probably losing tracking but could drift until it found it again.

What was it irked about, your failure to react to its warnings?
