New feature, pop the door on latest app

This feature is almost amazing - if my driver door would “pop” open when I’m nearby, just like the Model X , then it would be killer!

This can be done if you have S3XY Buttons installed.

Anyone know if we can have another door besides the driver door unlatch?

As a parent of a child who uses a car seat, this would be super helpful for getting them in the car more easily.

Theoretically it’s possible as most other countries drive on the wrong side of the road. Defiantly doable but not user configurable atm.

Would be useful for the option to be on the screen when parked to pop any door. Very handy when picking up first time passengers who haven't a clue how to open the doors!

Maybe I’m misunderstanding, but my iPhone will unlock any door, and even the trunk. Is that not the case with yours?

I haven’t tried the unlatch door on watch App for Tesla but mine is greyed out - have you tried that before?

It’s worth noting that all these things seem to be available via the Tesla shortcuts you can now create and you can pick any door. No need to buy 3rd party software

If we’re talking Apple, you can also set it to an accessibility feature where a double tap of the phone back will open the door, set up a Siri voice command which you could name anything you like.

The unlatch feature for S/3/Y introduced at the end of last year is not present yet.

Only Tessie (maybe other 3rd party sw) allow for unlatching specific doors via shortcuts.

We are talking about opening doors, not just triggering central locking/unlocking.

I'll try it in a bit. Tessie uses the same API as the app, there's nothing magical about it in that regard.

There are occasions when locking only my wife's door would be useful.

You need to be in BT range and connected via BT. It’s a safety feature so you don’t open a door from across the country.
