My Model X arrived today. As they were prepping it for my delivery on Thursday, I asked my DS to send me a photo of the FWD switch. Interestingly it's not the "original" or the "new" one posted in this thread.
Correct, maybe a cosmetic difference, but the old lever style. That looks like the original style switch to me.

They should incorporate the old switches into Tesla swag like a keychain or a bottle opener.Yes, very similar to the original, but a little different. Maybe they have a supply of these they want to go thru before rolling out the new one.

Not sure why, but the new 2nd row door switch reminds me of the old Space Invaders game.
Did they do it for free? I have an appointment for service next Tuesday and I will ask about this.
ok, what were the "symptoms"?
Still seems strange there are so many versions.... the original, the one with a longer base (I guess it is) and the totally flat one. And I don't think we've seen a new car with the newest ones. But they do look like the best 'engineered' answer so far!The old switch often didn't respond when rear passengers tried to use it.
