New Model S/X no longer comes with 72A charger?

got it. I recall seeing all those changes except for the charger. Bummer - 72A comes in handy when needing a quick recharge before heading out again. Otherwise I tend to charge at 48A overnight anyway, just to keep from taxing the system.
You are not going to be "taxing the system" at a difference between 48 A and 72 A. Compared to a supercharge, that is peanuts.

I was referring to the internal charger (which superchargers bypass), and my home electrical system.

If you got an old home electrical system with 60A for the whole house, running a 72A car charging system is not a good idea. I don't see why it would hurt your home electrical system if you size it correctly.

Again, for your internal built-in charger, if it is rated correctly, I don't see how it would hurt your car.
