Non-owner First Production window just got pushed back

I just got pushed back 5 months. That's a pretty big change. I suppose I'll live, and hold onto my place in line, although I expect this will affect a lot of other reservations negatively. To be honest, I've always thought my original April-June estimate was kind of crazy, as I only made my reservation a bit less than a year ago. Still, there might be some very enticing competition for my car money appearing between now and then...

I don’t want to get blamed or flamed, but I hit the cancel button Saturday night and money was in my checking account on Tuesday. At least they seem to have improved their timing on that process. :p

I am fully prepared to be stricken with regret over my decision. It just hasn’t happened yet.
Well, it's not a total loss. Likely, you can buy w/o a line in 1.5years :) And btw, around the same time there should be alternatives from bmw etc. It's all about tax credit right now - whether you can get it or not. and the novelty, which will wear of by then. And my practically first American car after my 1st car 91 Ford Escort, which had me urgently switch to Japanese cars. Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Mazda. I was about to make a leap of faith and buy American again. Lets see if this can happen by Sep.

Sounds logical to me. Mine hasn't changed. NorCal first day around 10:30 AM. I guess we'll see Wed. I've listened to the S and X owners, so the fact that we're talking a few months "delayed" instead of years is a freaking miracle. Honestly, I still count Tesla having moved up production times so they're not even really late by normal Tesla times. They're actually early.

How many more delays until we are caught up to the original estimate?

Blame or flame? Bah, buy or don't buy what you want. Hope it does all work out for you.

My Model 3 delivery estimates have been pushed back further after the earnings announcement. I'm a non-owner line waiter. It used to be Dec. to Feb. for first production and early '18 for SR, but now its...

I guess my plans to get SR w/PUP in the first half of '18 may not happen after all. I'm still trying to figure out what to do. :(

Got the same estimate today but I'm a current owner.

3/31 line-waiter in SoCal. Also an owner. First production is available for me now, but I am holding off the see what happens with the tax credit. The delivery estimator was previously "Early 2018" for Standard and "Sep-Nov" for AWD, but both have now been pushed back to "Late 2018". When I go into the Design Studio though, AWD says "Mid 2018".

Have only been checking my delivery estimate a little bit over a week Online reservation holder about 10 minutes after it opened up 3/31/16 still looking at Jan-Mar 18 first production and Sep-Nov 18 for AWD.
Now sitting at Apr-Jun for First Production, Late 2018 for Standard Battery and AWD. Slightly more disappointed....

BTW, I have NOT received any email notification about this change as of yet.

edit: And not more than two minutes later, the missive hits my inbox!

I think it’s listed as Mid 2018 in the design studio because that’s when the first AWD were gonna ship but that your relative place in the line means that your AWD estimate is Late 2019. (I would also guess that Mid 2018 was based on earlier estimates and probably also needs to be updated and pushed out somewhat)

If both AWD and SR are now late 2018, does that mean it’s just First Production until then? Or, does anyone think that this change may open an opportunity for the LR w/o PUP to be configured? One would have to think Tesla’s suppliers for the non-PUP interior etc had to be expecting some production soon. Or is that still too much risk for the production ramp?

Are you "Bolting" now? I drove one and they quoted $1,300 for lifetime lube! (coolant change at 150,000 miles is the only service required) $1,200 for "theft" insurance rider and $400 to make the third brake light blink! Dealer was confused between Volt & Bolt. Sales guy knew nothing about the Bolt. Showed me a screen that showed when the "gas motor" was running. Hold your nose and call them on their BS. They did not even show the Federal $7,500 rebate or the WA state $2,600 sales tax credit on the vehicle cost paperwork.

Just to let you know. Reserved 31.3. Online before presentation started. EU - Czech republic - Non-Owner. Pushed from “late 2018” to “early 2019”. :( Well that start to be a problem for me. I need the car in Jan-Fab 2019. Never expected to get so close to this window after the production started in 2017, but here we are :(

Here's my new dates with what it said yesterday. 3/31/16 8pm west coast reservation. (Non owner)

I was initially disappointed that my AWD estimate was moved from Sept-Nov to Late 2018, but with First Production Canadian deliveries being moved up to Mid 2018 I'm hoping the full Fed tax credit window gets pushed back to 31 Dec 2018.
