One Year in!

I took delivery of my SIlver 2012 CPO P85 Signature exactly one year ago. Here are my observations:

Car was delivered with 20k on the odometer. Picked it up outside of Boston. Delivery process was great and I was well taken care of by the delivery specialist.

Since this was an early Signature car it came equipped with everything that I wanted right out of the box. The only apprehension was with the 21" rims and tires. The first weekend I had it I managed to scrap one of the rims!

I was an avid follower of this site and wondered when some of the much discussed gremlins would show up and bite me. I was especially concerned about the 12v battery failures.

So, one year in the only "repairs" have been to one set of rear door handles and changing the seals on the rear lights where moisture had incurred. The service center also contacted me and proactively swapped my battery and sent it off for updates.

I ordered the 19" winter tire package which is still on the car as of this date. I am ambivalent about putting the 21" wheel package back on. I have one 21" tire with a tear in the sidewall and another one that took a nail and was plugged.

Overall. I am as happy today as I was a year ago when I took delivery. The car has exactly 40K miles now and has not skipped a beat. My infrequent visits to the Dedham SC have been extremely satisfying and I must commend Tesla on the training and professional attitudes of everyone that I have dealt with.

I absolutely love the color choice that I made (my other choice was metallic red) and car looks like a million dollars even when it is dusty!. When I have to drive my wife's Sonoma hybrid or our Odyssey Van it is like stepping back 100 years. I am a committed EV owner.

I regret not having put a deposit down on a Model 3 for my wife but am prepared to wait for one of those when they come!

I am a happy Tesla camper.
