Congrats, when did you oreder your X ? Mine was ordered 8-23 pick up at Costa Mesa but I still have no VIN Thanks Just trying to figure out when i will get mine.

My VIN showed up in my account 4 weeks after order (8/14), the same time I receive the text to schedule pick up.
You can look up if VIN is assigned by searching the "source code" in you account - have you tried?

Ordered 8/4. Got VIN 9/9. Delivery for Sept 30th.

White LR, Cream interior, 5 seat, FSD, 20in

Kind of bummed I didn't get the free upgrades for the upgraded interior and 22in rims.

Yup, me too - too late, my VIN was up and the X was all done.

But, I scored a new set of 22" Onyx wheels for half the cost. They are out there - seems like Tesla is now sending people their referral rims that they sell in turn.

Ordered on Aug 9. No VIN yet. Sales rep has stopped responding to emails. Sent one asking for update at end of 3rd week. Nothing. Waited one week and sent another at the end of 4th week. Nada. Dropped by the Tesla showroom on the way back from work yesterday, and caught him red handed.

With a wide grin that would put toothpaste models to shame, he said he was 'about to email me'. He showed me something in his computer that shows my Reservation Number matched against a vehicle that they are going to build, which is scheduled to be completed on Sept 17 and delivered to me (right here in the Bay Area) on Sept 19. I like this guy. At least he has shame!

Still no VIN. Keeping fingers crossed.

Got a text on Saturday 14th September, saying they expected to deliver my Model X within 1-2 weeks. Got another text this morning saying that the car was ready for delivery. Dropped by Tesla Showroom to change home delivery to Fremont delivery hub pickup, since the website had no option to do this. Pickup scheduled for Saturday (21st Sept) noon.... :-D

Website never updated and the source code never had a VIN. Also webpage just said my lease application was received, and that they will update once a decision has been made. No updates about whether it was approved or not. I was approved for financing earlier, but had changed it to leasing a week back. The guys at the showroom had no clue about this. Called back a number that I had received a call from Tesla Leasing the day after I submitted my lease application, to confirm my information. That person looked me up in their system and said that the lease was approved and everything was fine. May be the IT guy forgot to update the website...

I logged into the website after a few hours and everything looks updated, with VIN, delivery option, and lease approval.

Do you mind sharing how you get the 22" wheels discount? Can I just call the sales guy and order one? I'm picking my MX tomorrow and it only comes with the standard 20". If it's half price, I want to order one. Half of $5500 including tires?

I did not buy from Tesla, but was contacted by a member here who saw I was looking for 22" Onyx. He sold his brand new referral set of 4 tires/rims for $2500 and delivered them to my house.

There are few in the forum, I suggest posting WTB. Just be patient and also look around.

Has anyone luck getting this deal in the Bayarea for a new build

According to Tesla (Bay Area), this was only offered over the last weekend, and only on inventory vehicles. "We never gave free upgrades or price incentives on custom ordered vehicles. When someone orders a new build, we first try to match that configuration with a new inventory vehicle. If we cannot find an exact match, but if there's a close superset available, we waived the cost of up to two upgrades as part of the incentive if the customer was willing to take delivery of the inventory vehicle before the end of the month".

According to him, these 'inventory new vehicles' are those whose original owners cancelled their order (including refused delivery, I guess).

At least last Saturday, I was able to get $5500 (wheel) + $2000(carbon fiber interior) off for a custom order at Fremont...And I've seen several other orders for Model S as well.

OP here, I will not be picking up my LR X at Las Vegas tomorrow. MVPA was not ready due to sales tax exemption push back from WA Dept of Revenue (saying no) while WA DMV says yes to exemption.

No worries - if anything, my advisor will ship the car to me here in SoCal. I expect delivery in 2 weeks.

i'm curious, how did you get them to agree to buy one state & ship to another? My advisor in Chicago said they will not absolutely do that

My advisor has been nice, and she knew I asked them about the sales tax exemption since ordering with her over the phone.

Now, I think she rather complete the sale vs me cancelling the order, that is why they are willing to move the car back to California.
