Ordering through owner's account

I am a current owner with an early 2017 reservation and still can't configure. Estimator says Mar-May.

Did you get on Elon's bad side?

How is that even possible? I'd call Tesla and inquire. That's ridiculous, considering your location.

As of Wednesday Feb 14, that reservation was able to configure

No Canadian deliveries no matter what province you live in.

Why is that ? how can someone that is in the queue at say 500k get one before someone in line at 150k? I don't get it ,

Well I'll be damned - less than 1 week after I ordered through my dad's account, we just got an email to configure. So I guess having put a reservation down on 4/1/16 as a non-owner just got leap frogged!

Same with me. On Wed I had my dad log into his Tesla account and he was able to configure. I ordered it that night and it said 4-6 weeks for delivery.

It happened with the Model S and Model X - homologation requirements to be met.

So I've got a friend that lives on the other side of the US from me that owns a Model S and is able to configure now. He's offered to let me take his reservation. I just log into his account and place the order with all my info right? And then, once the VIN is assigned, I get Tesla to transfer it to my Tesla account? Have there been any reports of this not working? Just want to make sure I'm not screwing us both over by doing this.

I did this with my son and it was fine. We do have the same last name and he is family but they didn’t ask. He was able to take delivery in the state where he lives.
