The most beautiful car on the road has to be The Model S. Here's a photo of mine after pickup last Friday.

Wow looks just like mine I picked up in the UK this Friday! Mine is looking a little dirtier after a 150mile first trip through some country lanes in Wales.

However was impressed I picked up with the new 8.1 firmware, AS on Highway at 75mph was my first experience and it worked a dream, no wobbly lines, held steady and I stayed driving until I got to the local Supercharger that I didn't really need, but tried it all out anyway.

Big push to get UK cars out before 1st April as the Tax Law changes for 'luxury cars' from no tax for a MS to £300+ a year.

Waiting for me ... <3

More next post:

So, tomorrow morning I will hit 100,000 miles. It's been quite a ride, all the way. I believe my car was the third in Massachusetts, possibly the fourth. Reservation 1079, production number 1845. Held the reservation for 3 1/2 years before the car arrived. And now suddenly the car is 4 1/2 years old, and the reservation was eight years ago. Much has happened since then, to this Tesla community. And most of it very, very good. The Taz the community as a community of great people. A special nod to those of you who also took the flying leap on the reservation before the Model S was made (You know who you are, many have become good friends over the years, and for that I am particularly thankful), and to you original roadster folks? You're all crazy. Ben comes to mind. When I have a chance, I'll post updated stats – WH/mile, battery, etc.
And I said it before, I'll say it again:
Of all the things in life that don't really matter, This is the best.

Hnnnngggggg I got the silver as well because my older father really loves silver cars but I was hesitant at first, especially with the red and blue color schemes looking so clean... But you just got me extremely excited for my Model S 75D in Silver with that picture. It looks too damn clean!

I love silver. Not only does it look good but dirt and dust hardly shows. Its much more forgiving to scratches and nicks. I was worried about the black on black interior but I have found it works quite well. I also like how the extra camera black bits look good on the silver and seem to stand out less than on he red/blue.

I picked up my Deep Blue Metallic P100D on May 27th at the Costa Mesa, CA, USA delivery center. The experience was fantastic. My delivery experience was pretty exceptional considering all the hoops I put the team through with a trade-in.

While I had to wait about 30 minutes (I arrived about 10 minutes early for my delivery appointment), a very kind Tesla employee offered me lemonade or ice tea while I waited (it does get hot here in Southern California)

I've named the car Bludicrous 2. The first Tesla I sat in was at the Fashion Island, CA store and it was a car that was named Bludicrous.

Bludicrous 2 helped the service center as a loaner. So there are some miles on the car. But for the most part the car was pristine at delivery.

The rims had some curb rash, but I knew that before I arrived and wanted to take delivery. The delivery specialist was communicative, even though he experienced some personal issues during the delivery experience. So, I had pictures of the curb rash before I arrived and I'm going to have the car to the service center on Friday to have this repaired.

After driving the car for a day I noticed some cosmetic blemishes on the leather, center portion of the steering wheel. My primarily delivery specialists actually cleaned this for me telling me about his personal detailing experience. Can you top that type of service? He went way above and beyond and I wouldn't expect every delivery specialist to be able to match that type of commitment.

While not everything has been perfect, and a lot of that, my fault, the difference between good and exceptional service happens when problems arise. And the Costa Mesa team, and one delivery specialist in particular, have been pretty darn exceptional.

Never experienced such a bad delivery of a car. Even a second hand use old car got delivered better and nicer in the past...

Damage on the front, dirty on the inside and no explanation on the car like autopilot usage and such. We were out and had to find out ourselves in 15 minutes. No goodies, no nothing, not even a cup of coffee. This was in the factory in Tilburg, Netherlands. If Tesla wants to position itself amongst Mercedes and BMW and other premium brands, there is a lot to do. After this experience we went a few days later to the service center and asked to some explanation on autopark which failed to work. The car had to stay a day to get things fixed on the software part. Happy with the Tesla, totally unhappy how communications go between Tesla and a new customer. I do hope this gets better in the future.

Living in hawaii, i hope you find ample opportunity to test that acceleration, isn't the statewide speed limit 55? :(

Some looonger sections of the H-3 Freeway, which runs across a good portion of the island of Oahu, have a 60 mph speed limit. If you check the straight aways ahead for solo bike cops with the laser, and make sure there are no Crown Vics, blue & white cruisers, or the unmarked subsidized cop cars with the blue overhead lights behind you, you can try and let her rip!

Caution should still be excercised though. I recently saw a cop car in Chinatown with no overhead blue lights on the roof. The bar-style lights were all mounted inside the passenger compartment to the interior of the roof facing front and back. Very stealthy if viewed in your rear view mirror from a 25 feet or more. Once he gets up close, you can see the hardware mounting through the windshield. If you're speeding, it will be too late with this particular cruiser. This was a crown vic with HPD decals on the side doors only.

To be honest, it's a good enough thrill for me to go from 0 to 35 mph in what seems to be somewhere between .60 and 1.5 seconds!

Hi folks.. TechOps here. I picked up my new Tesla Model S 75 at the San Francisco Tesla showroom this morning. This is my first Tesla. I ordered it in black, a pretty base model with Autopilot. (The car has most of the options I want already included.) I didn't like the stock leather since it stretches out and looks like a cheap aftermarket reupholstery.. so I opted to stick with fabric.

First impressions: love it! Only two small disappointments -- some scratches on the hood where it was detailed, and the headliner material is the new cheap-o black stuff featured in the Model X, even though I had been told it would be Alcantara. Other than that, I really dig the car. Drove it up to Napa today and back for a Father's Day family event. Still waiting for autopilot to kick in.

Next plans are to tint the windows and potentially powdercoat the wheels gunmetal grey.

Have to give a shout out to the San Francisco dealer... everyone there is a total class act, and I enjoyed the whole process. I got the car within 2 weeks of ordering as they were able to pull one off the line with the basic config, and just add autopilot.
