Thanks allot rice guy, you were right, worked like a charm.
You can install our site as a web app on your iOS device by utilizing the Add to Home Screen feature in Safari. Please see this thread for more details on this.
Note: This feature may not be available in some browsers.

May be this is not news, but anyone notice on...
Tesla Charging | Tesla Motors ---> Check on Your Car
... the iOS App looks different? Maybe what we'll see in a future update? Or maybe that was an old build.
I have the iphone app. My question is if your car is in sleep mode and you open the app and check on the car does that wake it up?
Yes, with a slight delay (some report ~30-60 seconds)
So once you close the app do you know how long it takes for the car to go back to sleep?
Not sure, but likely somewhere between 1-60 minutes
Seems like we ought to be due for a substantial mobile app update soon. Anyone heard anything? Are they waiting for the 5.6 rollout to complete?
Does anyone have any details on what app updates might be coming?
Will there be an extensive change to the REST or streaming API's?
John is referring to the way that the mobile app communicates with Tesla servers (and thus indirectly to the car). There's a thread in this same Tesla/UserInterface section with "REST" in the title if you'd like more information.I am not sure what you mean by REST or API's but what change are you looking for, my iphone app is awesome. I would like to be able to turn on the seat warmers verses the heater system.

For example, you should be able to control the sunroof just like in the car (instead of just toggle between 'vent' and 'close') and you should be able to adjust the charge limit 'slider' to select any daily charge limit from 50% to 90%.
I'd also like to be able to turn on the front and rear defrosters. It makes a big difference considering the car is already toasty but somewhat defeats the purpose if you have to wait to see out the rear. I know the camera helps but sometimes it's blurry from rain/muck.
