Looking at this numbers it seems like they don't correspond with what has been recorded before. In other words cars may have been delivered and new production cars parked. No hard fact but an indication...

That is a lot of cash tied up in inventory. I thought Tesla was against the dealer lot model. ;)

That was nice, but what will be much better is if we could get video of them covered in 1) dust and 2) road salt and mud

That would really help as I doubt my car will ever look as clean as those, except the first day after a car wash. Certainly not until next summer.

The odd part of when the cars are being delivered, we will all be using the heat this winter and not experience the full range until we have had the car for 5 months.

And that is an interesting question, how they are going to be able to scale up more efficiently having their own distribution vs delivering bulk to dealers that sell it off independently. This is a challenge both in terms of parking lots size but also transportation. Of course tesla wouldnt be tesla if they wouldnt try to reinvent it without holding to preconceived solutions in search of an overall better model.

There is always they Nevada desert at the Gigafactory - batteries going to Fremont via Tesla semis and built cars going back to Nevada for distribution so trucks don't have to deadhead. I know, stupid idea.

Demo model expected end of Q1, start of Q2.

The service center is packed with cars, but only these two 3's.

What they heck are they going to do when they're making 500 a day....1000 a day.

Where are they going to put them all?

They are supposed to drive themselves to the lot south of the factory where they'll be loaded onto the truck carriers. With the cars piling up on the lot, I don't think they've managed to sort out the logistics of getting the trucks there in a spread out fashion. That will be a big traffic jam on 880 when a bunch of loaded trucks leave the factory!
