found this on the tesla fb owners group, someone spotted a white model 3 with VIN 301 in monroe louisiana. basically confirms that the rims under the aeros are powder coated, perhaps the center cap and lug nut covers are extra?

likely yes since here are a bunch of wires on the passenger side. but wanted to share how the white looks without aero caps, looks damn good IMO.

This is not a good photo of the Model 3 ... looks like a cartoon car compared to the Model S/X
The glass greenhouse is too high and the front duck bill is way too pronounced by comparison.

The sad thing is, this isn't just a "bad photo", this is actually what the Model 3 looks like. Disproportionate in the name of rear passenger headroom, shaving off an extra .01 Cd, and of course making it look less desirable than the S.

Can't wait to see how hilarious Model Y looks if Model 3 is considered a "sedan" with its giant goofy-looking greenhouse that looks even taller than Model X's when relatively compared to the rest of the car.

Actually, in my opinion, the Model 3 looks great here. I am always attracted to a lot of glass on a car. This picture makes the Model S look ancient in design.

The white with de-aero'd 18" looks stunning. Interesting, because white wasn't even on my list.... Damn!
Zoom in on the rims, they already look like they have visited some poor unsuspecting curb. Blasphemy!

A few days ago on reddit there was a photo of a white Model 3 turned to the center, woman in the middle and a red Model X (Also sideways and turned to the center) under the trees, daytime.

And Model 3 looked bigger than Model X. You simply can't set judgment based on one unflattering photo.

Can't find it now Anyone?

Look at how much more of the steering wheel you can see on the 3. That makes for a lot of low front visibility.

Is that rust in the center cap area? Nice to see that they are gray underneath the covers and I will not need to have them powder coated. It also looks like I need to add lug covers to my list items that need to be purchased.

I would not judge on there not being center cap or lug covers having any indication in regards to production. This is a release candidate car and most likely didn't bother installing those.

It's the only picture I've ever seen of the 3, and we've literally seen 100s from all angles, where the proportions look odd. Given that, I'll go with the fact that the 3 remains a damn good looking car. One picture will not change my mind when the others look so good.

I'm even liking the 18" wheels with the aero covers off. On the white car, it looks very nice.

EVERY time I think I've settled on getting the Sport rims and getting them powder coated later, I see another one of these pictures that makes me doubt myself.
