Finished test drive. I was very impressed with the power of the MS60. No concerns about wanting more power!

It's been an hour since I applied for the Alliant loan and the "sales" guy is still waiting to hear about our trade in value.

Any questions I may forget to ask before ordering?

My wife and I think we are set on the dark grey but unsure of dash style. Anyone have the Matt wood one?
I saw the matte wood in a Model X and did not like it. I went with the black ash in the one I just ordered.

I got a call from my delivery experience specialist (DES) and told him I haven't gotten any email with a quote for my trade in, and all I have is the guys word from my test drive that we are getting. $10,000 for the trade in.

The DES said he's seeing $7,000 for my trade in and said that's what it has always been.

I've emailed the "owner advisor" who told me $10,000 twice with no response.

This is no where near close to the Tesla buying experience I've read others having.

If it's not in writing, it's not real.

The car more than made up for it though. I was surprised at the power even with the MS60.

I've changed the options 10 times [...]
Haha! Sounds about right!
It will be a long week! Or you can just click on "Confirm" now, and be done with it... but where's the fun in that!

On the power, I absolutely agree. Of course, I would say that based on what I am driving, but looking at what folks have been experiencing in the passenger seat, the power is enough to stop any conversation in its tracks. That is followed by a stunned silence while they gather their adjectives. So not a lot of swearing as with the PxxD models, but it achieves the desired effect.
The best overall comment I've had about the car is this: "Oh you and your car from Mars!"

The pano roof is more of an aesthetic thing for me than anything so I'll canx it if needed.

So I placed my order just over a week ago, and have my VIN # now... so definitely exciting. Will say the pano roof was a must for me as it's the only way to get a roof rack on the Model S, and having the option of putting a rack on the top so I can carry multiple bikes was an important feature for me. Auto pilot & dual motors are the real motivator for me getting a Tesla. I opted for the premium upgrade as I liked the idea of cornering/fog lights for safer night & fog driving, also one who suffers allergies figured the added filtering feature would be useful too.

Beautiful options! Having a roof rack is a big plus but my SUV already has one.

I keep telling my wife that we can't really go wrong with the options. We will love it when we pick it up if it's white, blue, silver, whatever

Thanks, pulling the trigger sooner than planned (been saving a while) as getting rid of my VW TDI due to the scandal and didn't want an ICE for my next vehicle. As this will be my only vehicle... the option of the roof rack and possibly carrying both mine and my girlfriend's bikes was kind of important. But agree with you... Honestly considered just AP, dual motors, and sunroof... but decided to add a bit more, since even though I'm sure I'd love it, I don't personally like black interiors and I really wanted a non-black car as my current and previous VW TDI were both black (as was the only way to get a non-black interior, I really prefer Tesla's ordering method over dealer non-sense).

I did use a referral code to save $1,000 but thank you.

I have until Sunday to finalize the car and make changes.

My pickup will be in Costa Mesa, California.

Good luck with your car. I pick my MS 90D tomorrow in Costa Mesa, it's supposed to be top notch - had some issues with new delivery folks, so the process has ben less than stellar.

Quotes for NEMA 14-50 outlet installation:
$900
$700
$750

All including a $225 electrical permit fee required by my county.

Outlet is being installed on the other side of he breaker box inside my garage. Couldn't be any closer. I was hoping for a $300-$400 quote.

Yikes! I am scared now.

I checked my dryer and it is a NEMA 14-30, not the same I assume and can't be used?

Tesla is no longer making the adapter apparently: Heads up: Tesla no longer manufacturing NEMA 14-30 adapter

Additionally this is technically only a 30 amp outlet vs a 50amp 14-50. I think there are some 3rd party adapters, but you can't get the full amperage and have to have the car dial it back to safely charge from a NEMA 14-30.

Looks like I will fork over the cash to get the 14-50 installed.

Aren't there US tax breaks or rebates for doing things like this?

Try Daniel Dollom 909-276-7660 He can be very reasonable compared to others in the OC/Riverside area electricfxcorp.com I had him put a box in for SCE separate meter for less than you want an outlet for
