Battery storage.... Yes. No grid tie. These units need the sun only. .... and yes they are portable... although it would require a a semi! .....they can be relocated anywhere. They seem particularly useful for where there is NO grid available.

Here's promo photo. They placed three of these around San Francisco CA!

Who is the "they" you are referring to? is this a HPWC? how many amps is this car pulling while charging?

During our Supercharger powered Roadtrip 2015 earlier in May that I started a thread on...

Our first non-supercharger charge in Day 6 of our trip.

Always a good idea to bring a LONG extension cord on a roadtrip, you never know when you'll need to charge 110V.

[Being the superstitious type, I deleted the PREVIOUS version of this post (because it ended up being Post #666 on the thread) as soon as I realized the post #, I apologize to those that are subscribing to the thread and see this same picture as a "new message"] This step actually, let me find and add another angle of the 110V charging... Got 4 MPH for those wondering. It was a pretty efficient little 110V plug.

I'm on a golf trip there is this September.
How much power is available at that location for charging?
There were two HPWC's at this location... the other was ICE'd by the big Ford next to me. I have a single charger in my car... I got 42 km/hr (208 Volts, 40 Amps). I don't know if there are more amps than that available and looking at Plugshare I see only my comments relating to charge rate - perhaps someone else who's been there can elaborate... but if I had to guess, I'd say 42 km/hr is all you're going to manage.

I wish people would post more details in the Plugshare comments!!
