Rear Hatch opening

If I install a bike rack, will “HAL” my model Y know not to slam the hatch into the rack if I press or activate to open?

Nope. I wish they would have a "bike rack mode" that disables the inside control for the hatch.

I concur with above, no. I learned this unfortunately by pushing the open command while my Model 3 was in my garage. Even though there was about an inch of clearance between the car and the garage door, there was NOT enough clearance for the truck to open without scraping past the door. Ugh...

That's exactly why I don't have the "open trunk" icon as a shortcut in my Tesla app.
