It came from the factory (510). They told me that I can call them back and get a different car delivered within a week. I still have their phone number, but I don’t like 6 seaters
All Tesla phone numbers are A/C 510 (company issued cell phone I imagine). I heard from my local delivery specialist from a 510 number (text), and yes I confirmed his location as local to me.

Hey thanks for the well wishes yesterday everyone!

Both girls born at 6lbs 5oz. One blonde and one brunette. Both doing great.

Annnnnnd still no VIN. Mine was TBD yesterday and still TBD after the March update.
What are you talking about? You were double VINned and delivery yesterday!!! (OK, it's not a VIN, but you can get them an SS #... It's for sure 2022 models!)

Congratulations on the IMPORTANT STUFF!!! 🥰🥰

Woke up again this morning so frustrated that I have downgrade to something Tesla calls an "upgrade". I frequently haul stuff from the big box stores and quite frankly, the X 6 seat just won't work for what I can already do with my S:

Jan 23,2021 order moved to March as well. When I spoke to someone at factory when the change to Feb happened she said she is seeing March on her end so I figured it would happen. Just weird she is the only one who sees that and my SA can’t. My SA has been texting me 4-5 a week with “updates” that say there are no updates. I’m holding off texting him to see if he texts me info on March.

Seems like Tesla and the CDC have the same forecasters “14 days to flatten the curve….”

Does anybody know if Tesla clearly said there will be never 5/7 seaters for plaid? I mean never ever? Or did they just say for now. Saw many 5/7 seater being called to switch to 6. Did I also see some 5/7 seater (plaid) reach out proactively and did NOT get the free 6 seater "upgrade" when they asked for it, or were this LR posts? If these were plaids and rather recent orders then it could be that they are calling the "early" 5/7 seater to switch because they know for a certain time they cannot build 6 seater plaids. So they run down the list in order calling people until a certain number of plaid 6 seater would be achieved. If they rejected later plaid 5/7 orders to switch for free for now this could support this argument.
I am a Nov. 2020 pre refresh order, plaid 5 seater but from Germany. Asking because I wonder whether there is still hope that by the time in Hy2 when we might get ours in Europe, they might then do the 5/7 seater as a plaid. Thoughts?

Guys, remember a lot of our guys are orders from 2020 or Jan/Feb 2021. So I’d expect your EDDs to be moved back further.

Wait. What am I saying. This is Tesla we are talking about. Orders are fulfilled in reverse order.
Do I have this right, in the last 15 days, we only have 6 new LR X VINs?

Order Date VIN Date Colors Location

10/26/2020 1/6/2022 White/Blue WA Obiii

1/20/2021 1/6/2022 Blue/Black CA Anonymous

1/27/2021 1/13/2022 Black/Black NJ Anonymous

This!

I use my 2017 MX as an sUV

Without the 5/7 seat MX, Tesla arguably only sells sedans and a 6-seat minivan.

Nothing against the drivers who need a people-transport-vehicle over a utility-vehicle.. but the need/market exists for utility vehicles. Tesla can't even justify this with the CyberTruck. Until I see a CT owned by a consumer I don't believe it's a real product. (3 years later)

Couple of things to note: seems like the default bucketing of EDDs is a batch job that runs on the 15th? And I heard back from my SA at Sunnyvale Tesla saying my car is in build planning phase. I have no idea what it means for lead time estimation and if it means March will hold or not. But FYI to all here.
Mine has been in build planning phase for at least 6 months if that helps.

I had the same thought and voiced my opinion but someone responded that he/she ordered Plaid in December 2021 got the call to switch to 6 seater, so apparently not the case. I ordered in June/July 2021 Plaid 7 seater and got the call few days ago. I now got switched to a LR 7 seater.

I won’t say “never ever” because it’s Tesla, but in the foreseeable future, that is the case. They could simply tell the Plaid 5/7 buyers that you have to wait longer for one, but instead they say you will have to switch to a LR for that, so there you go.

Noticed this today. A 12 digit number appears briefly where Model X and RN... appear once the page has fully rendered. The link word Managed appears beneath the RN a moment later. Also today I received an email detailing Carrier Direct Services. No VIN and the evanescent 12 digit number does not appear in the source of my web browser version of the car order in my account. Not a double rainbow, but I'll take it as a sign things are progressing.
Agree. Maybe starting on the east coast and working back, like I hear they have done in the past.

Tesla makes their own seats in-house so I really don't see why there would be a limitation or a delay in getting X's with 5/7 seat versions. And I don't think it is supply chain-related as they should have all the materials in their seat factory. It's also hard to believe this is just about making a few thousand dollars more per car. The whole seat thing is bewildering.

They may make them in-house but the raw materials have to come from somewhere. A lot of my suppliers are sucking at life right now between labor shortages, trucker shortage, or their raw materials being late as well. It’s terrible right now.
