Trying to clean contacts on a supercharger handle that is not disconnected at the source is not a safe practice. Should not ever be attempted. As for the rest - I have to conclude that either your claim of power cut backs all over the country is a gross exaggeration, or the hypothesis of dirty contacts is off. My bet is on the former.

Isn't there some handshaking that needs to be done between SpC and vehicle before current starts flowing? Besides, as long as you clean one terminal at a time, you should be fine.

Yes to handshaking.

No for cleaning the contacts without disconnecting the power in a positive and visible way. This is not safe practice, and not to be taken lightly. Somebody might pay ultimate price for this. Feel free to google "arc flash" to see gory videos.

I did not say "all" superchargers are affected. I said it happens all across the country. That does not mean it happens at all superchargers.

Yes, handshake is done before applying power. Still, no electrician would touch those terminals without a clear physical disconnection, and neither should one of us .

Its actually HW 2.5. Its just some hardware changes and some wiring. Nothing changed on functionality as of right now, probably with EAP when its released.

If APH3 means new autopilot HW, it is effectively this module we are talking about:

I really doubt they have different autopilot modules for 3 and S&X. This also means that APH3 S&X will either have the new media module as well or are at least capable of taking it in.
