Short-Term TSLA Price Movements - 2014

With a modest gain on Friday and TSLA's correction after huge gain turned into horizontal movement, we're set for a nice pop Monday morning with the "Monday morning effect", particularly if some good news or commentary comes out this weekend.

Didn't see much news from Tesla, nor much earth-shaking commentary over the weekend, did you? The only thing from Tesla were a couple of tweets: a picture of the factory as part of the Caption Contest, and one of a Model S taxi in Sweden. Both could have some psychological impact, but I don't expect the stock to move much because of it.

Agreed. The chart gave the "OK" on Friday. I was surprised to see it down this morning, even for a few mins.

Let's see if 235ish will provide support now. I'm sure a lot of technical/swing traders were waiting for the stock to hold past 235 before buying in so there could be a squeeze this week.

Tesla has an active bullish pattern, levels to watch

There is an active bullish pennant on the daily chart that was confirmed when price rose above $235. The upside potential for the pattern, if it remains active and completes, is to the$260 area. Next resistance is at $237.93. Support is at $235.

Indeed, Familial Rhino, as you seem to realize, some people tend to mix up those terms.

A level at which there are willing buyers who prevent a stock from going lower is a support level.

A level at which there are willing sellers who prevent a stock from going higher is a resistance level.

Tesla Motors (NASDAQ:TSLA) gained 4% in heavy turnover as it continues shaping a cup base. The potential buy point is 265.10 if a handle doesn't form. Morgan Stanley analysts in a weekend report made bullish comments about the electric carmaker. The stock surged 9% in big trade on June 16.

Anyone know how much they would save in transport costs if it was located in Nevada as opposed to Arizona or Texas?

Transportation by railroad is really cheap. So it would be insignificant amount. For example coal is transported by railroads and coal is cheap. And US is(or at least was) even exporting coal to Europe - and that with 2 ports loading unloading and crossing the pond on top of railroad charges...

I would guess electricity costs and taxes have much bigger impact on the end price of battery pack.
