I would personally love to see a light weight 19x9 +35 with a more aero filled in design. Nothing on the market right now is both light and aero. I understand that some weight needs to be added for more fill area. The ev01+ seems like the only one and it's not that light.

Would love to see this as well. @UnpluggedP can do it!!

UP-05's in 21/9.5/35 weigh 25.6 lbs (11.6 kg) the 21/10.5/40 weigh about 1 lb (12kg) heavier

1 lb is not 12 kg, but rather 0.45 kg.

If you want protection this is the tire size I’ll be running on the UP-05. 275/35 and 295/35. Just move the rear tires to the front and grab a set of 295s for the rear

There has to be a reason that Tesla stretched the tires to the max, but I don't like the look or lack of protection.

Skinnier tires provide better efficiency. Still, I'm considering this setup when my OE tires wear out.

Right, but why not put them on a 8.5 and have some rim protection? You would also need 10mm less wheel offset to put the outside of the rim in the same position. I think that the more rounded sidewall is more aero efficient.

I've always read that they stretched setup is a compromise between looks and efficiency. Straying from that can cause less efficiency.

I think the angled side view looks great but man the gap looking straight from the side is huge! I'm in between 18 and 19 but still leaning towards 19. Appreciate the photos!

Yea.. I've been saying for awhile now, the sweet spot for wheel size on these is 19's on the Model 3 and 20's on the Model Y. Every time I see a M3 or MY with smaller than that, it looks bad. Any bigger and you're sacrificing ride quality a bit.

Yea I think 20s look great on the Model Y, but I've also grown to like the 19" with fat tires on the Model Y too.

I raised the car 20mm when I installed ball bearing thrust washers to the Ohlins coil over kit. I could have kept it stock height but I like the look and little extra ground clearance

Yes, I know it needs center caps, just trying to find the time to draw something up and machine them.
